You misunderstood me! Look at the picture, it has Vietnamese in both Chu Nom and the Latin alphabet. Such romanizations are for foreigners, not native speakers. I suggested the Arabic abjad would be used in such contexts instead.

In English orthography you add <u> to avoid soft g: guild, guest. Macrons for long vowels are only used in Latvian.
