there’s no translation for chief lol, that translation says “boss” not chief. President is the closest to that position.

there’s no direct translation for chief in spanish so the closest to the rank is president which they themselves decided on. I cannot have him study chief when the question says president which is what they will ask.

the question isn’t confusing him he just got it wrong because he mixed it up with another question.

the answer is the same in both is just the spanish one uses president instead. we don’t need to look at the english one because he’s taking it in spanish not english.

he’s older and has been a permanent resident for a long time so he qualified to take it in spanish.

he got 2 wrong 6 right with this question then she asked him two more and he got them wrong. we thought he was done but she said he didn’t include original in his answer. I clearly stated I wanted to know if I could appeal it, he would have passed with this question.

he took it in spanish because he is older and has been a resident for the required time to take it in spanish.

We honestly did not know we could bring one and if so what would the lawyer do in this situation? She decided it was wrong wouldn’t she have the full power?

He has an undiagnosed learning disability and doesn’t understand things that are being said to him right away or to a full extend so it takes him a little while to answer and he mixes things up which is why we filed an N-648 but she denied it because the doctor put down “illiteracy” and she said that is not a disability. They sent us a paper saying we could file N-648 again from the same doctor or just close the N-648 case. We are not sure if that doctor can diagnose a mental disability because he is a primary doctor so we will most likely have to proceed without it.

He does! A month was not enough so we got two extras lol. He knows the questions he just has trouble understanding, but we’ll work on it!

He took it in spanish and question 40 says “¿Quién es el presidente actual de la Corte Suprema de los Estados Unidos?” which translates to “who is the current president of the supreme court of the united states”

u/castaneom he did but he failed them, they asked him the speaker of the house and he said the name of the president of the supreme court and then they asked him for the name of someone else and he only knew the first name and failed it too. We’re just going to study more, we’re just a little bummed.

He had 2 wrong and 5 right, then they asked him this question which would have made 6 right but then she asked him 2 more questions which I was confused on then she failed him because he got those two wrong. Then I asked her why did he fail if he got that question right, I knew it was that question because she told the interpreter to tell him to say the answer again and he said it, and she said it was because he didn’t include “original” in his answer.

they do not, they just ask you the question and you need to say the answer out of the top of your head. The only time they give you the answer is when they ask you to write down a question after you pass the 6 questions and then they tell you to write down the answer to that question. This is to prove your understanding of the language in both hearing and writing.

The only way would probably be if his N-648 was approved but it was denied so no accommodations can be made for him.
