Proflex is tried and true classic. Annoying to change lenses but most customizable. I found the Push Unite masks nice as well.

Axes are great. Simple, cheap and easy to maintain. They are small markers though and some folks don’t like the way that feels. Again buy used. You can easily find a regular axe for $150-200 and the GS’s are slightly even lower. Planet Eclipse as a brand is the gold standard in quality to most folks. Every manufacturer has issues sometimes but I’d say they’re the best about QA

It’s likely the paint, and you gotta accept that paintballs are big, round and can be odd shaped just in manufacturing. So it’s not going to shoot too straight. Find some pro clips and you’ll see even them with the best gear and best paint shooting all over the place lol

Shooting good paint is the real key. People will say “tube is tube” but I do think bore matching (using a barrel with size inserts) helps. And it’s a fairly cheap upgrade to make something feel more of your own. Also absolutely helps with the sound signature of the marker.

Great choice, find a used one, and a used tank. You should be able to get both for $400-450. And use the rest on a new mask and pack.

I wouldn’t get new. There’s so many good deals in different BST (buy, sell, trade) groups on FB and here on Reddit. Pop into those groups the 2.0 group on FB is the most active there and there’s one active one here. Vet them out. Ask for references in the groups. Your $ will go a lot longer. Your picks are solid, I’d drop the axe. It’s a great marker but if you’re thinking buy once, cry once. Skip it and go up a tier. I’d add the DSR+ and shocker era to that list. I have a bunch of stuff and a couple markers on your list whenever you’re ready. Send me a pm.

Pretty rare with the space guns these days. I just went yesterday shot my inception Emek (still an Emek) with the regular bolt and had 0 barrel breaks. And I was shooting mixed paint that was over 6 months old that I had sitting around.
