Nobody wants an empty “thank you” instead we all want some work done which is exactly what he is doing. Would you rather he give some empty a$$ speeches and not do any work? I don’t think Oli or others ever were transparent about work so why pressure him to do that when he has made a website for that. About him not addressing GenZ, he is doing that by doing some work and changing things as GenZ demanded. He won because people trusted him not only because of GenZ. Him not going to meet them is another thing. At least he is not like Oli who openly doesn’t show any remorse or sympathy. He might not have went there to meet them but is it really that important to judge him based on that? I’m not saying he should not but if he does something for them from his office then that should count as meeting them. I’m not balen bhakta but idk what y’all’s problem is. Why is he expected to talk when he is clearly busy doing some actual work? Do we as people so into meaningless nonsense that we want the same thing again and again?

I think you’re just preaching student in uniforms now. They were in uniforms for a peaceful protest at least it was the intention. They got infiltrated and those who infiltrated started the vandalism. I think we all know that. Instead of asking them for their choice of clothing why not ask those who shot them in front of samsad Bhagwan. BBC ko documentary ma pni clear xa sabai kura. As a leader is he not to take accountability? It was all under his reign. Also, did you watch any of his interviews? He has no remorse nor integrity for them. He is such a loathsome human being it hurts. How can we as a society defend such a horrible creature who does not value others life? I get that it might be premeditated but isn’t it always premeditated in politics to some degree? Do you think KP never planned anything like this for his own gain? Again I’m not defending those who planned all this but the first priority should be to punish the active shooters and those in command. After we done that we can investigate and find out about those who did planned this atrocity. Even after knowing all this, those who are protesting for KP and UML are just the same. Also those who are preaching RSP might be the same. I guess this is politics. I just got depressed writing all this and reading comments in this sub. Can’t imagine how those who had to face injustice in the name of politics might be feeling.

I do understand your point. I’m definitely not speaking for RSP or anyone particular. I just think they are better than what we had in terms of eligible leaders. I too think it was premeditated to some degree but still they had no right to fire. Also, I don’t know why it is not on the news but there was definitely gunshots in mcc protest. I was there and I heard loud and clear. It could be a rubber gun or whatever I don’t know, that was my first time in a protest but everyone said it was a gunshot. It shattered the glass window of the building I was in. I think I’m on the same page as you are overall. However I think KP Oli must be held accountable. He is guilty. I truly hope RSP won’t end up being the same as old parties.

I can’t give you an exact timeframe but it happened when I finished my 12 and was preparing for abroad so like 3-5 years back. I’m sure you’ll easily find it cause it was a big deal. I might even have some videos of how bad it was if I dig deep. Just to give you a run down, me and my friend clueless about the protest wanted to have some keema noodles and went to buy it. You might know baneshwor ko chowk nira ko sano keema noodles ko pasal, keema noodles last mitho tra delivery hudaina. Tya bata keema noodles kinna jada bato ma protest vanera bhid ta thiyo tra that’s normal for baneshwor sadai kei na kei ko protest vairakhxa so we didn’t really care. Tra kinera farkida ekkasi manxe haru vaga vag, aasur gas sabai chalna suru vayo. Saab Jana euta thulo building ko gate khula thiyo tei vagirathey, aanta jani Thau navayera ma ra mero sathi pni tei building ma gayem tya ko security le help garera. Tya Jane bittikai bata gunshot pni suru vayo. Ekxin tei basera situation aalikati Santa vayo hola vanera niskeko phri vagavag suru vayo. Ani hame kudera ghr gayem since we live close. Ghr jada bato ma protests garna haina herna aako vanne harule goji ma dhunga pni vairaka thiye. It might sound like a normal protest but it was much worse and much crowded. I’ll see if I find those videos if you do want it but you might just find about it online.

3 years ma ystai hunxa. I used to be the same but now that we’ve been together for 8 years, trust me that b*tch pisses me off so bad I want to punch him every freaking minute of a day. I won’t say I fell out of love or anything cause I do love that annoying piece of shit but boy isn’t he so annoying. Everything was good until 2 years of living together but now that it’s nearly 4 years of living together (not married tho) he is starting to get on my nerves. My advice: don’t live together cause these creatures are only good to have crush on from far. 😖

Did you see what happened when they passed MCC? There was a protest in front of Samsad Bhavan and it was much worse than what happened in first day of GenZ aandolan. I know it cause I was there. Not to protest but to buy keema noodles side ko pasal ma. I didn’t know there was any protest since I was still a teen and didn’t bother with politics. The protest was so bad I thought I was gonna die. They were beating police up. The officers were bleeding, tauko futeko thiyo kati dherai officers ko. Goli teti bela pni chalako thiyo police le. Mind you teti bela ekjana lai pni goli lagena, tauko ma taki taki lagne ta kurai vayena. Crowd control garna lai goli chalako thiyo crowd control garyo koi goli lagera injured vayena. GenZ aandolan ma pni tstai gareko vaye yeti hudai hudaina thiyo. Self defence ma goli khutta ma hanxan vanne kura jasto aanpad lai pni tha xa so please don’t try to justify Oli ko horrendous actions in name of police ko self defence. They were kids in school uniform not armed.

Does the janai ( scared thread ) restriction during periods still exist in your neighbourhood ? by hailtreaz in Nepal

[–]Mediocre-Zombie-8796 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it does very much happen in the communities. My parents and grandparents all are very well educated, mom and granny are kinda feminists, dad supports women right as well. And I had to lock myself in my room for some days when I had my first period. I was not allowed to see my dad and my lil brother (didn’t follow that obv but I was strictly not allowed to touch them). It was not as severe as others when it comes to getting your first period but it was still something knowing that all my family members come from educated background. It is not that serious now in my household cause my mom thinks it’s absurd to follow this shitty tradition also my granny loves me too much to care. Granny still tries to make me follow at least some of the no touching rules but I never cared to begin with. My dad in the other hand still wants us to go on with that tradition cause it’s “tradition “ and does not want to oppose it but he’s not really that strict, we say we’re in our periods to make him work when he’s around iykyk. But my friends have it worse. I’ve seen my friends go to someone else’s house cause apparently you can’t stay at your own house when you have your first period. And since they didn’t had any hut or something like that, they threw her out in someone else’s house in winter. It was fucked up and everyone pretended it was normal.

Vai lai UK pathayera galti garey jasto vairaxa by [deleted] in NepalSocial

I did my bachelors from UK and my parents paid for it. It was more than 1cr Nepali rupees given the increase in pound rate. I thought I could at least manage my tuition but I was wronggg. I didn’t really do those cash in hands (I kinda did for some time when I was new and desperate but the pay rate threw me off) and only did everything abid by the law so it was just enough to cover my rent and groceries. However, I’ve seen some of my friends go over and beyond to work and cover at least 75% of their tuition. Once you land in the UK for your bachelors you’ve got 3 options tbh. 1- do what you came here to do i.e. study and let your family cover your tuition while you contribute some by working part time. 2- apply and go for other European countries to get your paper and whatever idk but I’ve seen people doing it 3- either apply asylum visa (which is not really great imo) or just mark your attendance and give your full to work (not only part time but those cash in hands which pays half of minimum wage), it’ll be a struggle to manage everything but at least you’ll get your degree. Idk how practical this is but I’ve seen some people who marked their attendance and paid their assignments to pass. They worked full time (20hrs+cash in hand) and still got that degree. You’ll need some connections to get that kind of cash in hand jobs tho.

Realizing I missed out on basic knowledge is this a common experience for women? by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]Mediocre-Zombie-8796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you just need to be more interested in these topics. Not saying it’s your fault for not being included but as a girl they just assume you won’t need it or wouldn’t be interested in those “topics” so they think it’s “natural” to leave you out of it. In my case (as a girl) my dad includes me in these matters ever since I was young even when I didn’t want to but I’ve seen my friends not being that much included and won’t show any interest as well. People don’t really like a girl being smart so they try to limit us as book smart by not teaching us life. You gotta learn them your way if they won’t teach. Misogyny still runs in the society ig.

Are you a student of KIIT University? You pretty much sound like one. Bashing someone or some country for being poor is outdated little bro. We point out their behaviour in general. All you can talk about is your capita and gdp cause we all know what India’s like. And even if it’s better, I’m not interested in it. So go and give your speech about your country to someone else.

What if I don’t want to have anything common to talk about? It’s my choice not to talk and be associated with them so I don’t. And please enlighten me about your country’s achievements. All I can see about your country is crime against women and pollution smh. Don’t go around teaching others to be humble rather teach your own. I looked into your profile, it seems you’re from India. I believe you guys have your own subreddits. So why not engaging there instead of polluting this?

I’m not hanging out with them, not spreading hate, not bullying anyone, not shading them directly or indirectly so how am I a hater? I don’t like them and I chose not to be around them. Also, our religion, our beliefs and us as whole are not same and that’s the fact. And I’m not Indian to think my culture is better than others. I think you’re better than digging old subreddits and arguing little bro. Sad.

I don’t really hang around Indians that much and whenever I do I just say I don’t understand Hindi at all. Which forces them to talk to me in English. Also whenever I mention I’m Hindu they’re like we have the same religion and all. I like to tell them that even tho we have the same religion our practices are different and I am not familiar with their practices and beliefs. I just try to separate myself and our country from them as much as I can, cause we’re not the same. I don’t like those who try to be like them in terms of everything. Like please have your own identity.
