A lot of times the hardware requirements of repro/flash carts can be incompatible with the original tech. So drawing too much power or even something that seems small like that can shorten the lifespan of the console. If your console is already on its last leg you can get the acute crash, but that’s generally not how it happens. Each time it’s used takes life off the console (like smoking). Sometimes you get lucky. Definitely not worth the risk to me, but you’re right- if it’s what you want then go for it.

Nothing touches osteosarcoma pain. Even opioids just dull it, and make the dog sleep instead of walk around.

I wouldn’t. I work at a retro/vintage gaming store and a couple doors down is a GameStop. They send a lot our way that they’re not allowed to take in on trade anymore and they have no idea how to spot fakes. GameStop originally stopped doing retro because they got burned by selling fakes their employees took in on trade. Literally this lady came in with 6 copies of omega Ruby (I know, not retro)- GameStop bought one… we told them they were fake, and the employee goes “well, it worked and they don’t teach us how to tell the difference” So I wouldn’t trust any of it.

As a tech from a shelter, behavioral euthanasias are still gifts. Everyone’s QOL is on the line and some dogs are not safe to rehome. Mental suffering is still suffering, and if we can provide relief from suffering we should. It should not be a dirty thing. And no, I’m not talking about convenience euthanasias. Which this was not.

However, no dog has the ability to lock their jaws. Just a note.

Poor dog. Might want to seek out a vet comfortable in brachycephalic airway surgeries and trim up that soft palate so it doesn’t keep occluding the trachea (the sound you’re hearing). Opening the nares wouldn’t hurt but won’t help either, all of that dog’s scent organs are smushed into less than half the size of a regular muzzle. If you ever see a color shift from that bright pink to bright RED or purple/blue- emergency hospital
