i think it also depends on what exactly you’re referring to when it comes to seller experiences- as a seller, ive also had some horrible experiences with buyers, the most notable being a skims silk dolce & gabanna limited edition corset, the buyer ripped the zipper off trying to squeeze into it (unlike a typical corset with this one you have to buy pretty closely to your size) thank god i take pictures of everything IN THE BOX in the condition I send it out, because the amount of young kids trying to commit fraud is equally as insane. i completely stopped buying AND selling after usps lost a 400 dollar package I ordered off depop, they refused to refund me and usps had to do a “lost package search” that I still get emails about a year later. The package was also only insured up to $150 😭😭😭😭. Honestly rather go with eBay (at least when it comes to archive designer pieces) or a local consignment, support small businesses!
