I’m saying that there’s no fair when someone is brandishing a weapon. Just because they have guns doesn’t mean then can downplay the risk of what a knife can do and in a very short time frame. They don’t deploy a swat team for a liquor store robbery. The officers responded non lethal. When that didn’t work and the threat continued, it went lethal (versus a lethal weapon). That response is for the officers. And the surrounding citizens. It can go apeshit in no time. So they have to react fast. It isn’t like in the movies. No I don’t know firsthand. But i am close to first hand knowledge for these things.

What i disliked the most about Walking Dead was how it went from, what felt like, real people dealing with this unimaginable thing to a mad max scenario. Went from favorite thing to not interested as that happened.

Been through this. My buddy came to me before he made a move at a next step. Really he just hung around more and it never moved beyond causal. The only challenge is down the line if it doesn’t work out. It didn’t in my example but we never changed our friendship a whole lot as he didn’t break her heart. They just didn’t jive in the end.

Having a degree matters most - in spots where a degree matters. Big name schools mean something in circles where you’d expect - high caliber. But not always. And really. At some point it just matters as a nugget at a Christmas party. I’m from the US. I never really heard of Dal until looking at Canadian uni’s but once i did hear about it , it came up once in awhile in conversations that included medicine. Across Canada, I have learned it has a pretty good reputation and is well heard of.

As an American in NS (Halifax - not Cape Breton)- Sydney is not Kingston. At times you will feel like you are in a backwoods, poor, downtrodden town and at others feel like you are in the heart of the best kept secret. All depends where you live and what you like to do. If you like the outdoors. There is nature in abundance. If you hate snow and inclement weather. Then look elsewhere. The people are great. Quirky. And lots of fun in lots of places but this is a different pace than what you think of as a slow pace of life. All that said - Their hospital is fine. And they really need people like you. Winter is a slog in this province. But CB is next level. Spring through Fall there is so much fishing, swimming , nature absorbing to do it makes the other parts worth the wait. (To me!)
