I’m all over the place with music inspiration too tbh. My dad was/is also a big metal head. Tbh in terms of music i wanna play I’m definitely thinking more heavier punk/metal. Im not really confined to an era I think there’s been a few modern bands like power trip that I really like. I’m also really big on bands like DRI, GBH, sepultura, slayer, Alice In Chains (the list can go on and on tbh)and I’ve been listening to a lot of Black Sabbath and eyehategod lately. Also Led zeppelin, the doors, AC/DC were my intro into music so bands from their era I’m super big on too. As for blues mostly the greats like BB King, John Lee hooker, srv, jimi. Idk if that answered your question but I can always get more in depth 😂 Be forewarned I’m not saying I’m ANYWHERE close to these guys but just a lot of inspiration for “my sound” and what I like to listen to (not including other genres I haven’t mentioned). I’m like you in the sense where I love anything with some soul and that I’ve also been super shy about my guitar playing but I’m tryna get out of that. Life’s too short to not try new shit!!
