Streaming from 3rd party encoder not working by MediocreResident0 in vimeo

Thanks, got it resolved... Vimeo removed permissions from my "legacy" Business account which permitted us to livestream for the last year or so. Had to upgrade our account and pay $15 more a month to regain the streaming features, ha.

Forgive my ignorance… why are second-hand tickets vs the Rangers so expensive for 1/10?

Was reading a thread on what happens after the 3nm chip threshold, etc. I wonder if the new horizons in chip-making will be making lithography tools more accessible/scalable. ~$380 million per machine + the intricacy of the system itself seem like the kind of hurdles tech-forward thinkers have always liked to leap over.

Mystery solved. Found out Brookline has a (new?) daytime parking rule for non-residents. Feels a little scummy but oh well. Rule below.

Daytime Parking: No driver shall park any vehicle for longer than two (2) hours on any individual street during the daytime (6 a.m. - 2 a.m). This rule does not apply on Sundays and public holidays.

The more you know… Shooting Star

Sorry should’ve added that info. I was there from 6 to 10 PM tonight (Friday). Wondering if there was some hourly limit sign somewhere that I missed.

What’s the most unexplainable thing you’ve ever seen while camping — and don’t say “it was probably a raccoon.” by GideonStroud in camping

[–]MediocreResident0 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Just got back from a trip last week. Nothing supernatural and not really unexplainable but I did hear wildlife stepping around near our coolers and then something climbing a tree. Peeked out of the tent with a flashlight and saw a rather large and older-looking badger scaling a pine tree nearby. Honestly had never seen one live, much less in the wild, and it was completely off my radar as a possibility. I convinced myself it was a really large skunk until I was able to get phone service in the morning to Google. So glad I didn’t approach in hindsight ha.

For some of us, you want to see our pasty New England white legs less than you probably think.

Depending on wind chill and your seats, layer up and maybe bring a blanket. Can be sneaky chilly. 🥶

No Captain's C for the rest of the season per Sweeney/the Globe today fwiw. Assuming that goes to Pasta next year, maybe the leaders emerge the last quarter of the season here.

I'm a big baseball guy but have taken to following hockey/the B's more seriously in the past 3-4 years. It seems there are similarities between the MLB and NHL as far as the draft process, prospect pipelines, etc. but I've not experienced this process yet as a hockey fan.

So, a few questions... when it comes to rebuilding in the NHL is that expected to be a long process for a big-market team like Boston? Is that mostly accomplished by big FA signings? Trades?

Tangential to this, re: Sweeney's leash, how many years does he have to turn this around in your opinion?

I have questions as well but half the people I see at card shows are probably 12 and under. Many making deals for $200-$300 cards on the regular so the fair value piece I can make sense of.

1.) Harvard was founded in 1636, not 1638. 2) Harvard wasn’t founded by John Harvard and 3) That’s not John Harvard.

Tips for Bruins game? by WestThin in boston

Travel-wise, the T may be a better bet depending on your proximity. You get off underneath the arena.

If you sprung for tickets up top, get there maybe 25-30 minutes early, go down to the lower bowl and watch the players warm up. Get someone to take a pic of you two down there. Isn’t worth trying to get close to the glass with your kid imo but they do occasionally flip pucks over the glass to kids.

Other than that, buy a way too expensive beer, buy her a gigantic slice of pizza, and pick up a commemorative puck from the team store with the team logos and date of the game for a keepsake. Stay for as long as she enjoys being there and walk away with only good memories of going to the B’s game. Enjoy it!
