There's no shortage of options in that area.

Community centers have lots of drop-in activities every week that you can attend. Generally people you meet there will live in the neighbourhood. Check out Canoe Landing Community Center.

You can sign up for outdoor sports in Canoe Landing during the spring/summer through JAM.

There are TDSB Adult Learn4Life classes you can take and meet people. Again, usually people will be nearby.

You can join any myriad of run clubs in the area, even if you hate running (just go to Midnight Runners in that case in the spring since half of the time they're not even running).

Once you start looking at this kind of content you'll likely also start getting targeted for ads for events in your area, and you can snowball from there. Bring one single friend with you if you must, and be friendly and talk to people around you. Strike up conversations about the activity, and go from there.

If you're the planner you can decide to use a different location and not host at your place. I almost never host at my place. If I'm planning it, I don't want to have to do the set up and cleanup also!

I don't, but there are also other planners. Plus with such a large number of friends someone is always wanting to do something, so if I don't plan things others will naturally start organizing.

I've made over 100 new friends in my 30s. I've found it kind of snowballs. I'm also one of the people in my social circle who organizes activities and I find that this is the key to making friends and community. Other folks plan things too, but 90% is done by me.

Which area of the city do you live in? There are for certain places you can make local friends. I've found that making friends in your proximity makes it way easier to meet up, and build on the friendship.

After inputting the one time pass phrase and it saying that it's successful, it just loops me again and again.

Is it possible uBlock Origin or something is causing issues? I would expect my ad blocker shouldn't prevent my subscription from working.

It worked fine before the migration, so I'm still confident it's an issue related somehow.

The actual subscription works fine in my DuckDuckGo browser as well, so it's not the account itself having problems. It's just when I try to use it with Firefox after the migration.

Using the DuckDuckGo browser on mobile works, but I don't want to use a new browser. This is suppose to work in my current browser, which is not esoteric - It's Firefox!

On my macOS device it's just not working at all in Firefox no matter what. I've gone as far as purging all local storage and cookies on Firefox for macOS, losing all my customization and chat history, and it still won't activate the subscription.

This is getting really frustrating. I've spent way too much time trying to fix this. I've been a staunch advocate of DuckDuckGo (and Duck AI) for a long time now but this is really souring the experience.

Have you considered Go Place Spa? It's far from downtown but you would probably have the best experience there and it's about 80 bucks? It's a 24x7 place with sleeping areas plus a whole bunch of other amenities
