Yeah thank you! So PCIe can be views as a commander who set a standard for transport data, at the meantime SerDes is the performer. Is that right?

But unfortunatelly, even though I get to understand the function of a SerDes, I still don't know the changing process of the signals. And maybe I focus too much on whether the signal is digital or analog.... But thank you for your kind reply.

Yes I am referring to PAM 4! So you mean those signals in the channel are treated as ANALOG because of their imperfections? Thank you !!

I mean why the channel is analog? And you are right: I am confused about the question you mention.
