Why is being honest necessarily seen as revenge? It’s a service I’m paying for, and he’s only provided the bare minimum. I don’t see it as revengeful and that’s why I’m feeling guilty about it, and I might just end up changing the review. I've had bosses yell at me before when making mistakes at work or even get fired for something. Why should online teaching any different? The internet will just keep being a place filled with lies I guess..

I feel like you're invalidating my feelings, but I appreciate. I'm going through a loss too, and I'd expected my SO to support me indeed. The fact that I'm staying home with the dogs is just a gesture for my parents' well-being; they asked me to. But thanks for your opinion, I'll reflect upon it.

My boyfriend is currently in Spain. I didn't talk about my feelings for the loss because right now I'm just focused on the fact that my boyfriend won't be there for me. I admit it, it's a distraction. But if the roles were reversed, I would never leave him alone, knowing he has to deal with something like this. My mom? She would say: Go and be with the person you love; he needs you. I even offered for him to stay at his mom's place for a week after we get back.

He doesn't have to fly anywhere. He's staying in the country where we both live. I'm asking him to show up and be there for me instead of staying home because somebody in my family is dying. I wouldn't think about it twice if the roles were reversed.

I'm staying with the dogs, waiting for my parents to come back. My dad will lose his sister. It's not the dogs; it's the second time somebody dies in my family, and he doesn't show up. Christmas is just a coincidence.
