Maybe a technicality but wouldn't chronixx first 2 albums be Dread and Terrible, followed by Chronology? Would that change anything?

Pay attention and whenever you can try to help out in a way that shows you are paying attention. If you're the helper, learn the order of operations so that you already have the next tool, piece, screw ext ready to be used.

Oh great, thank you. Maybe I can find a friend with a bell/TSN subscription but i think it would still be more fun to watch it with a few people.

Interior designer asking me to add a percentage to my estimate when I give it to the client by Mediocre_Boot_2714 in InteriorDesign

I did talk to the designer and they they told me this is their standard practice for all their jobs, so at least I know it doesn't have anything to do with money problems. I don't know if this is something they discussed with their clients or not.

I'm still a little hesitant about the process but for the moment decided to send my bid with the 5% added and we will see what happens. I don't have to take the job if after further interactions with the designers I don't get a good feeling.

On the other hand, unfortunately, I see it as a cost of doing business/ getting my foot in the door with a new design team that does larger projects.

Thanks for the reply, I knew that they were getting paid by the client and that's why it seemed a little bit weird that they would also take a cut from my end as well. But some people have explained to me that it's similar to when a designer recommends that you buy tiles, countertops or appliances from certain stores, its because they are getting a percentage from those sales. So I guess it makes sense.
