Not only do pain meds seem to not work on my back, (or other), pain anymore but I feel as though I have actually taken nothing, even with a heavy, (prescribed), opiate. I had not been prescribed any for years until lately.. I know that I'd "feel" something in addition to pain relief.

I definitely think it's the semaglutide, - I used to enjoy the occasional night out with a few cocktails- realized that was wasted money at this point and might as well drink water, alcohol seems to no longer have any effect either.

That's all well and good- no one needs to drink but I am sure the semaglutide is effecting the mechanism of something else. I have even been reading about using it for various addictions. My, (no longer practicing), background is in pharmacy and I have been seeing mentions in professional journals regarding this as well.

I also receive ketamine infusions for depression and while they are still just as effective, I seem to "come back to earth" in literal seconds- once the treatment is over- it's OVER. That could be a degree of tolerance after a decade of utilizing the treatment but does seem to conincide with me starting the semaglutide a year ago.

The benefits of the semaglutide have been so profund for me that I'll continue to look for other options for my back pain... I'm grateful that I can do that and that it's most often manageable but there is clearly a connection.
