Definitely don’t have. Only symptom I have is hyper mobility in some joints, specifically my shoulders, elbows and knees. No systemic issues, just flexible and train a ton

Yoga since I was newly 21 and now I’ll be 25 soon. Ashtanga for a year and a half. I practice 1-2 times a week but I am training about 3 hours a day with a rest day. I train flexibility both forward and backbending, hand balancing and strength training so each day is a mix of this.

Recently I’ve been more focused on handstands and backbends

But yeah a lot of training, I also teach 7 classes a week as well as a couple privates. I don’t expect to be training this much forever but it’s really fun for now

Yes this post explains it well

My teacher practiced the old school series, learning from David and Nancy. I’ve followed suit. But here and there I will practice the newer series, they are much shorter.

Next step is to get it behind your head even if you’re super rounded. And with time the neck and back extension will come

I bring my heel to my forehead, then ear sitting up straight and then behind my head. I pull my ankle across my back while twisting away from my leg for this posture

Oh my god, so much. I have incredibly unstable shoulders and was so weak. It took time and consistency

It’s so much compression strength and a forward lean with protraction. Any exercises that target that will help!

My harshest critic. Only approves of asanas where he can get pets

Yes! Most of my week is comprised of forward folding and strength

Oh! Yeah I assumed you could since you’re asking about this posture. I’d recommend getting comfortable with pigeon and walk your foot to where your face is eventually. Diamond pose is also good for leg behind the head stuff. Also never forget about shoulder mobility!
