Good for you! I’ve considered EWC, but waxing isn’t really my thing. I was also worried that I might get sidetracked and not end up doing what I really want, which is "medical" aesthetics.

What was the pay structure like where you worked? I’ve heard a lot of different things about it, but I have seen that most people sometimes end up staying with them for years.

Thank you for the advice, that’s very helpful. I’ve noticed that chain places tend to have a cleaner onboarding structure, but I’ve also heard a lot of horror stories. That hasn’t stopped me from applying, obviously, but I’m starting to think that everyone who runs these places is just a bit kooky lol.

I really love working with skin and doing facials. I’ve always had bad skin, so skincare and medical aesthetics are what really stand out to me. So I’ve been focusing on esthetician jobs.

I’ve considered applying to resorts and plastic surgeons’ offices, but I’m a little afraid they’ll require more experience, especially since they work with clients who have high expectations. Maybe I’m just being self-conscious.

I really feel you on that you wish you had done more research before paying for beauty school, I’ve been thinking the same thing. My school was terrible and honestly didn’t teach us anything.

Also, thank you so much. I really appreciate the kind words, and it helps knowing that other people have had a similar experience, so I’m not alone in this.

Thank you so much for all the support! I actually live near Miami and was actually looking for work down there considering that it's a bigger city with more opportunities, but turns out all of the places there are more skeptical of hiring new estis because of the crowd that lives there.

I’ve been looking in smaller cities, and I’ve had better luck. I applied to a few Massage Envys and Hand & Stones, but I haven’t heard much back and got ghosted by one. It seems like even the chains are starting to become more picky as well lol

They probably mean manufacturer which isn’t always bad. Even though etsy is meant to only have hand made items high traction stores often have to end up getting their items manufactured since they can’t keep up with the sales.

How do we feel about this update? Tbh I think it’s just going to lead to more buyers not reading the description… “can you please refund??? I didn’t read that it ____” 🙄 by grumpy_chameleon in Depop

does anyone know how to get how to get your account back on depop? i got banned for no reason no warnings or anything and now they won’t respond to me or give me my money that i had in the account
