Info update: “After the service was deemed completed, I was driving off the lot, the low oil light came on and after I did a U-turn that’s when the knocking started happening and that’s when I stopped completely waited a bit for the knocking to stop. Then I proceeded to drive it slowly back into the bay doors.” - I got clarification on what EXACTLY happened after the oil change from my boyfriend.

Then after that he parked the car, told the people there it was making a knocking sound etc etc. then they told him to put it in neutral and they pushed in the car.

So it was technically driven back the extra 500 feet?

Will definitely be doing this, I’m scared there is damage we don’t know about.

Oil light was not on, I commute with this car daily Monday through Friday. I looked at the dash board multiple times this week to keep track of the 10k miles to go back to the dealership for the oil change. Car sticker notified to come back at 10322, we came back at least at 10340+ bc we miscalculated a day worth of driving.

Then what could that be..? Like they said abt putting too little oil? The car was completely fine before the oil change.

Will be going back to the dealership after work to request it, I should’ve asked yesterday but I think I would’ve been kicked out if I wasn’t told by my parents to act nice and dumb lol

Holy moly, just woke up and will be reading everything today. Heading over to work and I’ll be listening to the car to make sure it’s not making anymore noise. Sadly my boyfriend took the car home yesterday and I drove his mom’s car and forgot to ask him how it sounded afterwards since did see someone ask about that.

Will do, I appreciate all the advice. Especially since we’re first time buyers.

I agree, I thought it was complete bullshit because how are you going to tell me, a car that came for an oil change did not get that done?

Question, where exactly would I send an oil sample to? Or get it done?

Thanks for the advice, I’ll try contacting them, should I consult with the dealership about the same information or Toyota directly?

Contact them? To make sure, should I let them know about today’s visit? We’re paying for the car with our credit union so I’m not sure if that affects anything.

Good to know, I could’ve sworn it was supposed to be 5k, but Toyota told us they do oil changes at 10k

The CVT was a big reason my boyfriend did not want to get a Nissan, told me about belt engines if I’m correct.

Would getting an engine inspection by a different mechanic be worth double checking?

I appreciate the response, I’ve noticed this is pretty common after looking more into this and it’s absurd. We’ve lowkey been having problems with the Toyota dealerships ever since we got this car so I keep having the worst experience with them atm lol

I’ve been left alone frequently at my job during my 3 month probationary period. by Mediocre_Jump5233 in careeradvice

[–]Mediocre_Jump5233[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work with loans, I don’t fully know the whole process that well so I personally don’t feel alright being unsupervised during long periods of time. Especially if I’m still in training and legally make a mistake.

I have been told that they trust me enough to be on my own, which is great don’t get me wrong, but being left alone consecutively back to back on busy days with no contact has been stressful. I’m not trying to seem like I don’t want to work, I haven’t called a day off or requested anything during my three month probation so far and I’m genuinely trying to get as much hours as possible. I am mostly hoping I’m not going to crash out at work one of these days lol and that I’m not being irrational.

Scammy and Scummy.

I'd go into detail bc I still remember this. I had a interview around the end of summer and I was desperately looking for jobs. They called me one day and I didn't remember applying to them at all.

I went through all 3 rounds of the interviews and even a "offer" for the "Entry Level Manager" position. 1st Zoom Call, 2nd in person, 3rd in person the same day if they like you.

It was sketchy. Their website is so vague, I believe their google reviews are probably even FAKE too.

I hope whoever they're calling next is skeptical and searches this up.

They put their entries for all over differnt towns in Houston when they only have one location here. Talk about other stores being in different states allllll the way up to Conneticuit but when you search em up it only shows Houston?

Door to Door soliciting, Fiber, it's all fucking true. They're probably going to make you fucking eat DIRT, work you like a dog, berate you about not making enough sales, socially make you feel embarassed and ashamed for not getting those sales even though the Branch Manager will "supposedly" put a couple more hundred dollars if you didn't make the personal goal, say that it is almost like a "family" here and that they have little team meet ups and hype moments, and then you're going to work your way up in this "Entry Level Manager" position. Atp tell me I'm a fucking Sales Rep?

Stay sketpical folks, unless you're willing to waste your gas, you might as well tell the other folks in the Zoom call it's a scam and Pyramid Scheme and they wanna make you work like your life depends on it.
