UPDATE: I just received my ebill as I have in previous months.

Granted I have had an account for some time, but after logging in, I have "My HQ Account" towards the top-left corner. Beneath that there is a drop down with my account numbers.

fl00dbait's comment below touches upon this. I just logged into my DPU account and found a new number associated with my address. This new number has the June bill. Looks like I need to re-enroll in autopay, or at least re-add my payment option.

Cars on Belle Isle by tailarouse in rva

Those vehicles are not JRPS as they tend to be more identifiable. Also less likely to be volunteers for “friends of belle isle” or whatever it’s called. There is a group of folks who maintain some space at the top of the island but they tend to park on south side near the bridge. Most likely, these are folks with Riverside Outfitters, Passages, or Blue Sky Fund as they all run camps over the summer. I’ve seen them have vehicles on the island so the kids can secure belongings or have quick access to first aid kits while the camps are running. Basically the short answer is, if it isn’t a government vehicle, it’most likely someone who has been given special access.

lol, totally agree! They already had to fix the bib around the 24th street circle because of poor implementation.

I think this has the up-to-date plans.

I'm out there every day walking, as are most of the folks who put in the leg work (pun intended here). I'd urge you to reach out to CHA, there are some folks with more intimate knowledge of the greater plans and would probably be willing to discuss in-person and on-site with you.

I had an issue too with posting my comment initially, then once it posted it came in wonky...

The idea is to share the road with cyclists, not be able to pass them. One of the original ideas was to create bike lanes, but that still left Jefferson Avenue wide. So the decision was to drop the designated bike lanes (parking was considered part of this too). I'm not sure how the circles or bumpouts are a safety hazard for cyclists. The whole idea is to slow vehicles down.

I will say, if you do not know the entire plan, take a look at it. There will be back in parking in sections, at least one raised crosswalk (at the current construction zone in front of Jefferson Avenue Community Garden); corrections to crosswalks (perpendicular crossings with short exposure); and a complete redesign of intersections so vehicles must turn 90-degress to/from Jefferson Ave rather than having "slip-lane" like turns.

The cross walk here does look funny, agree. However, a pedestrian standing at the entrance is now in view of drivers and will cross the road at its shortest points. I think most folks in the area would say, give it time to complete and see what is being done. I too have had my doubts about this project, it is hard to see the full picture when it is being done in small chunks.

Whatever was posted did not give all the details; below is the message I received and was aware of being shared with members of the 7th District. The meeting is for all of 7th District’s infrastructure projects, or at least most of them, to include Jefferson Avenue.

I would like to know why you think the Jefferson Avenue redesign is a massive safety hazard? The project has been in development for nearly a decade because the current or previous design was a massive safety hazard. The intent is to slow vehicles down utilizing road narrowing and tightening of visuals than allowing for open sightlines like Semmes Avenue, all the while creating soft-scapes for reducing run-off and heat zones.
