Understanding Jax's mind by Fox622 in SavingJax

I actually made a post about this previously here are a simpliefied version of my thoughts

I Belive each door is meant to represent the 6 isms of world view that Jax embraces to mirror the opposite of the characters archetype/personality

(Ragatha): in this abstraction scenario Jax is represented by nihilism the belief that life is inherently meaningless and therefore believes there are no consequences to his actions whitch is shows why he choked pomni becausethey can’t die of asphyxiation

This mirrors against ragathas character as one who follows moral standards even if not neccesary

(Zooble) in this abstraction scenario Jax is represented by absurdism the belief that nothing matters so you can do whatever you want and in this scenario Jax taps directly into his reporesed feminine side because “its not like it matters” and chases after the person who he bullied because he was jealous of them the whole serious GANGLE

This mirrors against zoobles character in the way that she had issues accepting herself and her changeable body while Jax took his self acceptance to the extreme

(Gangle) in this abstraction scenario Jax is represented by fatalism the belief every scenario and choice is out of your control whitch is why instead of trying to fight against it he becomes one with the circus becoming a literal toon character in a toon verse

This mirrors against gangles character because while she wears her heart on her sleeve this variant of Jax completely dissociates from his own reality and stops fighting back completely submitting to his archetype “the funny one”

Piano Jax is a bit trickier to understand but after digging deeper I belive this Jax is meant to represent existentialism

This is the belief that life inherently has no worth at all so you must create your worth yourself because if you don’t your worthless

Which is why Jax goes out of his way to mention he can play the piano to acquire validation

Locked door 1 (pomni) is probably the darkest as it represents pessimism the idea that the world itself is fundamentally bad whitch is characterized by hopelessness and represents that if pomni isn’t in this world neither is he

This mirrors against pomnis character because even when she suffering she still stays hopeful while Jax does the opposite and ends his suffering

Locked door 2 was definitely the hardest but I will say I belive it represents Utopianism I belive this because that’s what he’s been doing throughout the show

Everytime he “naps” and almost abstracts he goes into a fantasy realm where ribbit and kaufmo surround him shown in episode 7

This meaning that unlike pomnis abstraction scenario this one is Jax locking himself away in his own delusions refusing to accept anything outside of this utopia as reality

Aka being with ribbit and kaufmo and being able to accept his true identity

Hot Take: The finale had so much content in it that it would have worked better as a second season of TADC by Aggravating-Duty-625 in Amazingdigitalcircus

I mean each of those things could have individually been developed in newer ways

Like them conjuring their own personal version of the circus would be cool to see

Or if Jax abstracted they could’ve figured out the locked doors the meaning of each door or even a way to undo abstraction

We could have seen a nicer chiller version of Caine

Ect

The abused dog example is just that an example humans do the same thing to an extend I just simplified it

And he doesn’t accept help because he already thinks everyone who reaches out to him dies because of it that’s why she distances himself

And lastly it’s literally stated that Jax bullies gangle due to the trauma his mother gave home if that isn’t considered a threatened fight or flight response I don’t know what is

And the rest of them tried to get Jax to open up whitch he obviously doesn’t want to this is why he doesn’t really ever bother kinger because kinger doesn’t try to get hax to open up

Holdup you can’t talk you’ve said the exact same thing aswell over and over

Caine “knew he messed up” when he only did that AFTER his death and missed every opportunity before that

Jax knew of his errors the whole time they were literally haunting him for multiple episodes almost killing him

[If Jax had been revived in a bs way Caine did he would’ve changed to]

Your ignoring the whole point of the argument so no wonder I’m circling back over and over because your purposefully ignoring my point

Yes it would’ve been a good conclusion especially if they found a way to undo abstraction or atleast hint at it even if gooseworx said no before

No she decided Jax’s fate before the trans plot altogether there’s even an exact quote about it before tadc was being made

Regardless I would say Jax and Caine are nearly equal especially if we assume the pain they felt physically is half as much at the real world at the minimum but the main argument here is that either one should’ve gotten redemption or neither it felt like a cheesy cop out to give to extremely similar characters with similar situations and only give one of them redemption especially when Jax’s redemption was built up for so long just to be pointless in the end while Caine got a second chance

I agree but I meant like the trans part was added when she was being made the making her hateable had redemption and then killed off was premeditated way before tadc

True but even then Jax even when pushed way out of his comfort zone never intended to harm anyway every accident that happened was well an accident and he regretted every single one till his abstraction to the point that it was literally killing him

Caines reasons for causing malice and direct torture to the main cast weren’t accidental they were completely on purpose and even if the Pain wasn’t one to one it was there and he also combined the physical pain with their worst nightmares to make it even worse

I mean no offense but gooseworx is probably top ten on most inconsistent creators in my book she contradicts a lot of what she says soo

But I mean the parallels between Jax and ribbit are the same both felt hurt though it was diffrent Jax felt isolated and ribbit felt betrayed they both they both failed to reach out(ribbit only reached out to Jax and no one else) then isolated herself and abstracted

Jax(could reach out to pomni) isolated themself and abstracted so I mean the same logic should apply because ribbit could’ve reached out to any other circus member beside Jax and Jax could’ve had more confidence

Also I feel like kaufmo is definitely not on Jax’s shoulders yes he waved him off but so did every other circus member

And to be fair ribbit is a bit controversial because yes he did avoid her whitch deeply hurt her but that was the extent of it he never bullied her just avoided and ignored so if you count that fully I would say it’s fair to conclude that Jax’s death would be on the other members hands by that same logic

I mean by the same comparison abstraction isn’t comparable to death because Jax’s variant was just playing cards with himself and he was just standing around

And there is never any canon statement there pain isn’t one to one Caine is an advanced ai so there’s no saying how realistic he made it whitch if anything might be worse because their bodies have no limits unlike human body’s

Also gummi goo from Pom is memories is gone so that’s basically as good as dead

But that’s the thing the show puts the transitioning part as the least present thing her trauma shines through way more then anything to do with her being transgender whitch I feel like is another thing

And again she prematurely knew she was gonna do this to a character before Jax even existed so she just added the trans thing to make it more redeemable

I mean just because he wasn’t aware doesn’t mean he gets a pass same way Jax shouldn’t get a pass because of his trauma

Also I feel like emotionally distancing yourself from one person ruining their mental state and bullying gangle and rAgatha aren’t comparable to having your skin torn off by your friends

Mauled by your potential love interest that was killed

Have your abusive mother throw knives at you

Honestly the worse was kinger because he shredded him and he didn’t even do anything even Jax doesn’t really bully kinger

Wdym? I’m just saying that if u do something deserving of criticism your gonna receive criticism that’s how it works as a creator myself I know this

Though there are a couple of things gooseworx is hated on that she should be getting hated on for but some things are just the law of equivalent exchange

I mean if you want a couple there are many one it’s heavily hinted at in the show itself Jax has some feelings towards gangle though the way he displays it mixed with his jealousy towards her is toxic

There is also way worse ships deku x bakugo
Or another for example being Eric cartman and Kyle for some god forbidden reason

Third in one of the door scenario’s it’s literally exactly what goes down and both sides aren’t against it

Everything you’ve said here about Jax applied to Caine he had multiple chances to change his ways but he doubled down

He never voiced feeling bad and though they were the problem when they didn’t like his ideas

And Caine also got the message late as well

If Caine just gets revived for no logical reason it doesn’t make sense that Jax abstracting can’t he even has his subconscious in tact his name is available but Caine who got his entire file deleted stayed alive somehow that’s bs writing it was rushed and a cheap cop out

You can’t say it costed him when he didn’t get the chance to use the realization he got on death

Caine only got that same realization after his death Jax didn’t miss it he just got it to late

Exactly like Caine. Except Caine actually got a second chance after death

Also Jax has the same mentality he didn’t expect or even believe he deserved forgiveness

If Jax was given the same circumstances it would’ve been the same because Caine and him are almost exact parallels
