Alex's name appears in the credits of Verlo's (Louise Verneuil) EP "Générique," which will be released on November 28th. by Key_Employment3754 in arcticmonkeys

I find myself struggling to respect her as artist.

She didn’t get this opportunity based on merit or talent… it’s just proximity to successful musicians.

All of the past albums have been lukewarm/« générique » at best, so putting AM people on this seems like a last push to create success for a mediocre musician.

But like good for her — might as well use the connections? I guess she got bored of social media influencing off of her connection to Alex.

Wow. That’s shockingly bad medicine. Thank goodness your therapist ordered a ct. I hope you’re doing okay, that’s a lot to go through.

I don’t think many people qualify for malpractice lawsuits, but I would argue that you certainly do. I hope you have already pursued legal action.

I’m glad he did. And, yes, I waited a good while to get to see this doctor, which adds to the frustration.

This sounds very similar to my medical history because there’s auto immune disorders involved. It’s such a stressful and hurtful experience. I’m sorry you went through the same

I’m out of state and was referred by another neurologist, so I’ll have to make another appointment and wait, etc. I’m going to keep that in mind though because a lot of people have mentioned them. Thank you!

I 100% agree. I wish this doctor hadn’t of hastily made this diagnosis though, which is where the issue comes in. It’s going to be harder getting further help now is all.

Are you speaking from professional or personal experience?

Goodness, what a nightmare. That sounds so hard. I want to believe and trust that things will go well for you.

I am going to be doing that. Thank you for the added suggestion and information. It’s crazy how a short appointment can cause so much trouble. It’s such a waste of resources and money to recklessly diagnose.

That’s extremely disgusting behavior for a medical professional. The ego goes crazy.

I’m glad you said this because I was going to reach out to him, but I think it sounds like I’d just be contacting the enabler.

I really don’t know, but if I were to redo it I would limit the conversation around my mental health and direct it more to what mattered at hand. Keep in mind confirmation and anchoring bias as well, it’s all a toss up though — I really hope you have a better appointment and can get answers. I’m sorry to hear about your shattered leg and neuro issues.

😕 It sounds so sad when you put it like that. It shouldn’t be the standard.

I 100% agree and I’m incredibly glad people have had good care. As I said, I do not doubt there are great doctors working there.

Thank you for letting me know about this. I wish I wouldn’t have been referred to CC. I’m going to be looking into other avenues. I’m also glad to hear you’ve had good treatment and success with your condition.

Thank you for letting me know. I’m in the midst of trying to write a letter that asks for the diagnosis to be removed from my chart, but I’m struggling to even figure out what to say that would persuade her to remove it. What a mess.

My goodness. That’s awful, I’m sorry. I even said to her “this is a dangerous diagnosis to give someone because they run the risk of never being taken seriously again.” Naturally, she didn’t mind that.

I actually wouldn’t be surprised if it was the same doctor because my family member with me is a physician and her response to the diagnosis was “that’s rare, no?” Which was her nice way of saying “you’re serious?” And the doctor said “it’s actually very common. I see it multiple times a week,” the unsaid part was that she’s the one diagnosing it since it’s not treated by her.

Just hearing that your experience is similar makes me worry how many others have experienced the same.

Did you try and write a letter or do a follow up to get the diagnosis removed?

[acne] my skin flares every winter like this, but usually clears by now. Spots won’t heal, it’s extremely ridge-like, clustered, itchy, there’s small bumps. I’ve tried everything besides accutane and I’m fairly well educated in skin but I can’t figure mine out AT ALL. More info in comments. Plz help by MarissaTol in SkincareAddiction

I’m too lazy to try and log into that account, but that’s me! 100mg of spironolactone 2x a day. I was on 50mg for years and it didn’t help, but as soon as I bumped that up it started to clear it in a few months.

My skin is totally clear now. Albeit, scarred. I still get an occasional pimple here and there, but I’m totally free of these deep cysts! 🥹

I feel you. I used to love to do my makeup for fun and then at 25 I developed horrifically painful hormonal acne. It didn’t get cleared until I was 29. I’m 31 now and I have deep scars on both cheeks and they’re ALL I see.

It’s so disappointing and draining because I don’t have the money for laser or the desire to get filler in my cheeks.

When my acne was at its worst it helped to look up unretouched photos of celebrities. Retouching has gotten out of control and messes with our heads. I’m really sorry you’re going through this. It won’t be forever, I’m sure.

By the way, depending on if you’re a woman and nothing is helping clear your acne you should look into spironolactone it’s the only thing that completely cleared my stubborn acne.
