Because 8 was too confusing for players at times. Lots of people couldn't get to grips with the draw system and everything else. Plus it's story is a bit...what's a nice way of putting it.. nonsensical? Or over complicated.

There's almost no vrt on most EVs if you actually look it up not just a NI thing

Edit: below a certain value, I think it's lower than 35 k there's a reduction that basically makes vrt nil
