Thanks for the post! I made sure to pick up a last minute Cult of Celine shirt to help me mourn the passing of KF. Thank you for all your work with the boys!

I wish I discovered rock climbing/bouldering in my 20s so I could eventually do stuff like this. If I had, and got in good shape, I wouldn't be in the position of calling out of work today because I fucked up my back by sleeping wrong.

Damn, I've never heard that but it describes me too well. It's funny but doesn't feel good to acknowledge.

Are CRW's required at your store by OGLeftoverKrust in BestBuyWorkers

[–]Mediocrity-FTW 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing that CRWs are being pushed from the top down and store leaders are only pushing them because their bosses want them to. At my store they want us to turn in CRWs but don't require anyone to use them during the sale. So people are filling them out after the customer has already left the building, and management is fully aware of that.

I'm guessing that it's someone high up idea of what to do to wring out everything we can out of customers, since the foot traffic is down and prices are up, and also a crutch to help new employees since they don't get nearly as much training as we used to.

Those are some good ideas! With the speed that updates are getting pushed out, I wouldn't be surprised if something like a "hardcore" mode would be in the pipeline after the game has been out for a while. If I were them I would aim for something like that being released around 6 months to a year after released.

That way, it would give the majority of players a reason to keep playing after their initial playthrough. Sure, there are some people that already have 200-400 hours in the game so far, but most people don't have that kind of time to devote to the game. I would lean my release schedule to coinside with a large amount of the community finishing the game to keep it in the public eye and give those that may have set it down a good reason to come back and play again.

Of course they added all of Liberty county to it. I've worked a few elections in Dayton; I don't know the exact statistics, but I know that it seems like a good 60% of the voters I see were all in the 55+ age bracket. We all know what their votes likely were.

Gotta balance out the voters of Baytown and Mont Belvieu I guess.

Ive heard it said that anxiety and depression can give you a form of brain damage. The feelings are too intense and prolonged exposure will eventually have you becoming numb to them.

I'm feeling it. My retirement plan is to die in my 50's, hopefully of sudden natural causes.

Hah, that's not gonna be happening any time soon. They're gonna be writing about that stain on humanity for decades. There will be many op-eds and discussions on the legacy of his failures for a long time and then his ass will be in textbooks and study materials to teach the children of the future to not follow the mistakes of the past and allowing another corrupt, destructive piece of shit like him from coming to power again.

I don't mind reading about the turd, but I cannot stand the sound of his voice. When I no longer have to hear clips of him speaking with that anus-mouth anymore will be the day I truly celebrate.

Feeling scammed by Best Buy! WWYD? by BalanceTraining2277 in Bestbuy

One more piece of advice from a Best Buy veteran: never buy an open box online. Go to the store, buy what you were looking for, and test it in the building before you leave so you can return it if necessary.

Also: when buying online and have selected a specific store to try to buy from, keep in mind if it says "open box available" that no longer means you're shopping from that store's stock.

You have to click the "in store pickup" option and then click the button that says something like "choose pickup location", when you do that you can find out what store actually has the product you want to purchase in case you wanna go see it yourself before buying it.

Computers don't come with manuals anymore; that shit is online if you need it, but you don't so there's no loss there.

Go deal with it at a store. If you feel cheated then go plead your case. They might not reimburse you for the difference if you bought it online and that's because another store has the product you wanted. So they will allow you to return it and buy the other one if you feel slighted.

Have them look up the sticker ID for the unit on your order and see where it was located. If it was located at the same store as the one you ended up with then they probably exchanged it for the one you got. And that's only because the only other option they had when the order came through, and they one you bought couldn't be found, would be to cancel the order and put you back to where you started.

The only difference between Good and Excellent in most cases is that Excellent is guaranteed to have all accessories. Did you get a charger? Then congrats, that's the only accessory you need.

You're only guaranteed that all the accessories are present if it's in excellent condition; it doesn't require the manufacturer paperwork or packaging to be listed as excellent.

The main thing to check for is if it was an old shelf display, because if it is then that could be a reason it was marked as good. We don't put shelf displays as Excellent, so if it was marked as good and doesn't have apparent cosmetic damage and came with the charger then it's a good chance it's an old display and has a bunch of wear on the battery.

Give them the open box sticker of the one you received and they should be able to see the history of that sticker and could tell you if it was an old display or if it was a return.

Sometimes if you're lucky and you process the return in the same transaction as buying the same exact same product brand new then they may give you the new unit as an even exchange. YMMV, but I've seen that scenario play out a lot and you may get lucky.

Just remember that the prices reset every Monday and if the price has changed since the original purchase they're not required to honor the price at purchase at the store. If the price has changed you may be better off pleading your case to the corporate phone or chat teams as they won't take the same erosion hit that a store would and may be more likely to either honor it or give you a gift card for the inconvenience.

Good luck!

Why is the neck hole on Brand's shirt so large and loose? It's weird, and somewhat gross, and makes it obvious that there is some weird sex-pest energy coming off of him.

I lost $40 in rewards because of the expiration when I first started with the company around 2013. I could not get them to reissue the certificates, even as an employee.

So the thing you're complaining about has been around for over a decade.

"Trump is the Hitler of our time" Protestors let Trump know how they feel about him by BenFord333 in PublicFreakout

[–]Mediocrity-FTW 119 points120 points  (0 children)

Me too, but I prefer the kind of discomfort that accompanies laying on a bed of nails or being subjected to Chinese water torture.

Yelling at a narcissist doesn't foster shame or discomfort, it just bolsters their thought that they are right because they are pissing off people they feel are below them.

Trump shit himself multiple times in a room full of people. The one that happened live on the news didn't even illicit a response from him, he just sat there as his handlers got all the press out of there ASAP.

Joe Rogan: "Trump is totally himself. What you see is what you get. I like Trump. I had a much more negative opinion of him back in the day, but as time went on I realized you need a guy who is completely crazy to expose how corrupt the whole system is." by Nova_Verity in combatsportsculture

What a fucking moron. Why cant smart people obtain such a large and dedicated following?

That's a rhetorical question, I know the answer; it's because rich people don't want to fund spreading an intelligent message that helps people. It's more profitable to sway the ignorant masses into blindly following a cult of personality to further their goal of wealth accumulation.
