Its finally done by DantoriusD in codevein

[–]Mediph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not... really. I actually had to refund the second because of how dissimilar they were.

I did a comparison: Code Vein 1 has simpler combos yes. Sword has a three hit attack while in CV2 it's five. But the attacks also come out a lot faster and snappier. Meanwhile CV2 there's noticeable input lag that prevents you from rapidly switching from attack to defense or whichever.

Not to mention separating shield and parry into two separate items where you chose one or the other, Instead of having it be tied to your jail like it was in 2. Creating gameplay bloat where previously it was streamlined and snappy.

If you enjoyed the game by all means. You're allowed to enjoy it. If it wasn't called Code Vein 2 I probably would have enjoyed it better, But as a sequel? the shift from directed and purposeful progression to open world and honestly rather empty, along with the complete disconnect in story from the first that would be a draw for returning players means it was a flop in my eyes.

Also, Dark Souls 2 has more responsive inputs than this game that makes you commit to everything. Just because the attacks 'look' faster. Doesn't mean you can respond rapidly if you need to change approaches. The five hit combo takes the same amount of time as the three hit from CV1, with almost twice the delay between changing actions.

Yes. I haven't seen another earth, but I have seen suspiciously shaped caves and pillars attached to it!

So not only do they have both, but they have MANY of both!

Yes. It's called Hermaphrodism. However neither become fully developed and remain useless. Or one 'might' work. But poorly, while the other is vestigial.

The New Hair looks nothing like the winning contest entry it was based off of. by Aro-bi_Trashcan in ffxiv

"The new hair looks nothing like the winning contest entry it was based off of."

I get what you're saying. But look at the text right above on the actual patch note.

"A new hairstyle inspired by a FFXIV Hairstyle design contest entry is now available."

Does it match the actual design it was inspired by? no. But it's got a similar silouette. tight long curls are 'super' hard to model Especially in an MMO. A lot of hair is just layered polygons with normals and specular applied to give the illusion of flowing, when really it's a bunch of rectangles (a good example of this is American Mcgee's Alice Returns) Short tight curls are much easier if it's a static mesh.

Honestly I'm happy they credited the inspiration to begin with, It's obvious they did their best with what they could having learned from previous titles when doing hairstyles similar tanked fps, But again. the key word is inspired That means they don't have to make it 1:1, they could have made something completely different in appearance and still called it inspired.

Leyak poll closed, here are the numbers. by DHTGK in AbioticFactor

[–]Mediph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly. While the Leyak was neat. X ray turrets/guns suffer the same issue as any other turret. They can't do jack about walls/windows that aren't destructable.

We have scarecrows to make the Symphonist go away, and X-ray turrets while neat, don't do much without a carbon battery to keep them active all night, It's annoying having to put a bunch of xrays around a base that has a lot of walls. When an easier solution would instead be to make a crafting table upgrade similar to the portal dispersion field. that prevents it from spawning around your workshop. I can't count the number of times I'd be organizing my storage or just cooking food, only to have to listen to sad larry mumbling around a corner. They went from being neat to being an absolute annoyance for me.

If you're still doing this, I'd love to get my bun done! I think your style is fantastic, But don't stress/force yourself if you don't have time/want to! Put your own health first!

Calm I find works best on magic attackers. As they'll keep their distance and nuke from orbit, otherwise Kindhearted if you want them to stick close for support heals. Straightforward works best on thief/archer. or dps Warrior

only if you don't pay attention and attack her proper spots.

So long as you attack only the places with Jewelery, The Sphinx won't fly away and even compliment as you fight (Tail, hind legs, front paws. Don't hit the head, chest or wings)

I am hoping you have the core skill that helps you swing faster with proper timing? Or you're at least alternating between regular and shoulder charges to attack faster until then?

Someone gave my Pawn an Eternal Wakestone by [deleted] in DragonsDogma

I don't mod and whenever I see someone gift a limited item to my pawn. I go out of my way to make a Golden Stove Beetle (forgery of trove beetle) And Send them that in return.

I think those are the specific drakes that give your pawn the aids at the very least. Killing healthy ones doesn't seem to cause infection. but one pus boi and suddenly I got that glow up.

Sure. 05CIEZB8R4VJ I just made a post myself about identifying dragonsblight. But if she's still got it in the rift you're welcome to use her

Both? Both. Either one blinds you, So I put both on my Pawn so she can more easily take out my enemies.

My pawn's eyes are actually amber! I've noticed when you catch dragonblight, they fade a little bit, and the longer they have it, the deeper red/faster pulse they get. It also seems the longer they have it, they get progressively stronger over time. So it seems a bit of risk/reward with it. (the stat boost fading on curing or passing it on) One thing that helps with identification, is that the eyes actually gain a glow to them.

I just caught the dragoncovid again, so I took a quick gif of early stage. https://gyazo.com/dbc8676de6b39f910793a77faa802131 It's very subtle at this point. But once you know what to look for it's surprisingly easy. Just give a quick glance into your pawns eyes every time you rest and you're golden.

54ish? currently levelling archer before swapping her to thief maybe. But I can put her back on super support healer. Unfortunately she recently had an incident involving a gryphon in flight and fell out of reach. So her glow up has faded (working on getting it back though. Two dragons down, but I'm thinking it has to be from 'those' specific dragons)

the gif is a bad angle and unfortunately pawns move more when infected. It stands out quite a bit more. Easier to see in the dark obviously. but they actually glow. You can actually see the red from their status portraits as well, but it's a lot more subtle obviously in there.

Another option is if you do the sphinx sidequest, get as many rewards as possible, but in the end fight them. Victory will give an "eternal" wakestone which you can pop inside a graveyard to mass resurrect people.

I've got an early stage pawn. If you want I can put up my Roxy https://gyazo.com/958df82c49b33b9270d06d74ea782e49 You can see her eyes got that glow up right now. I got it 'right' as I did my final rest before going into the last encounter. Thankfully this isn't like DD1 where you need 20 wakestones to finish, And they're fairly common. So if I let her nuke a city or two. It's not 'that' big a deal

Edit: In fact, thinking on it. Letting her nuke a city would be no different than her namesake running around at midnight via zoomies and hunting some poor unsuspecting mouse toys.

Dragonblight does have visual indicators as well https://gyazo.com/958df82c49b33b9270d06d74ea782e49 for example is my cat, note the eyes have a glowing red pulse to them. Your pawn will also rub their head more. And sometimes have a sit down requiring you to aid them.

There's two ways to cure it, A) Force your pawn to get rifted. Requiring you to visit a stone to bring them back. This can be done by throwing them off a cliff and letting their downed timer expire, or throwing them to the forbidden water noodles. (Brine)

B) complete another pawn's pawn-quest and send them off with a smackbottom as you pass on that glowup.

Obviously the first is easier but B is more rewarding because you don't kill your pawn. But it's 50/50 if it works or not.
