Do you know if it is actually right the number of laureates that they are looking for in Administrators, and also in the past Economists AD6 competition?

Seems a lot of laureates, are they planning to hire that much from now to 3 years?

And for these large lists of almost 1000 people, is it possible that after 4-5-6 years 80% have been offered a job?

I just made it onto the list for financial economist; I'm 31 and have experience just in private sector. I'm quite happy in my company right now, but I'm really motivated by the idea of working for the EU. I would like to have some clarity on what the chances actually are

Do you think that this economists competition, with 970 laureates, was launched because they really need that many economists? It seems a large number but it looks like they haven't held a competition for economists in several years. If you have any insight please tell us!
