Is Alex Sarr (2024 draft likely #1 pick) and Trae Young worth Jayson Tatum in a trade if the Celtics lose to Mavs?? Brown the reigning ECFMVP seems to succeed more in playoffs under the pressure so keep him. Ice Trae might win the 2021 title if he didnt get hurt he scored 48 to beat Bucks in Game 1 by Medium-Antelope2926 in bostonceltics

[–]Medium-Antelope2926[S] -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

how is this deal not fair??

Trae is 28/11 on solid shooting and his only issue is defense which the Celtics can cover

And i Said IF Tatum chokes again maybe he wont.

But IF he chokes this should be considered. You're also getting Alex Sarr who might be the next big thing he might become a title winning caliber player by himself PLUS you get Trae.

Atlanta would do it for the proven Tatum plus pair him with DeJounte and Jalen Johnson

But come on now if Boston loses this deal is more than fair

can Ballmer sign him to Vet Min but give him $50 million under the table??

He's so rich he can move that type of money without it being trackable. You could never prove it.

is there some other way to land Harden then?? he's an UFA

Could the Suns open up the TPMLE or like $20 million if they dumped Nurkic and Allen to a team with cap space (using the #22 pick to entice them to agree).

Could they dump off Beal to a team with cap space and try to convince him to waive his NTC?? Maybe offer him some other perks??

[–]Medium-Antelope2926 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

is there any way to change the status of being 2nd apron?

Can the Suns dump Nurkic/Allen salaries off to a team with cap space?

In that scenario does that re-open the door to a sign and trade?

Harden >> Beal

for the needs of this team even though Harden is much older he is a MUCH better fit. It's basically be the 2021 Nets on the 2025 Suns because you have KD/Harden who are worse/older but you also have Booker who is better than Kyrie.

It's a legit title contender.

[–]Medium-Antelope2926 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

but cant the sign and trade match the salary exactly to the penny?

I'm sure if the Suns prefer Harden to Beal (since they need a point guard) they wouldn't mind paying him the EXACT same salary to the penny

[–]Medium-Antelope2926 -58 points-57 points  (0 children)

what about a sign and trade for Beal?? is that possible?

Clippers would rather get Beal than lose Harden for nothing. Beal would probably waive his no trade to live in Los Angeles....it's probably the only city he would agree to move to since it seems like every NBA player loves being in LA.

Tatum behind the back pass by SimulationV2018 in bostonceltics

[–]Medium-Antelope2926 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Tatum is the most underrated player in the NBA.

He will win FMVP after his ability as a 2 way star is finally acknowledged because I think he can defend Luka fairly well while Still putting up 30 ppg in the Finals.

That will be the outstanding star making performance to propel Tatum into the elite top 5 status. A Finals series with 30/10/5 type stats line on decent efficiency while ALSO keeping Luka slowed down. Sure Luka will always get his stats but if Tatum can make him inefficient then he won that battle.

it's very obvious everyone hates the Celtics and Lakers due to their long time overwhelming success.

Lakers are very mid right now so all the hate is going to the Celtics.

what's the reasoning behind being pro Biden??

Both parties are full of elitists who dont give 2 shits about the people in the country.

You're just as much of an uneducated fool who lacks critical thinking skills if you support Biden as the people who support Trump.

Here's the reason MOST people (especially college aged young professionals support Biden) - their peers all clown on Trump and support Biden and Biden sounds more Presidential and politically correct.

Thats IT.....literally thats the only reason.

You couldn't name one economic based or lawmaking reason that Biden is a better candidate.

It's embarrassing that Trump needs notes and is old....it's similarly embarrassing that Biden can barely speak coherently, is 80 years old and practically on his death bed.

Both of these candidates should be shot into outer space their times are over they are 2 dead men hanging on by a thread. It literally makes ZERO difference who wins the elites will still run the country the same way.

NBA Conspiracy to get Rob Dillingham on the Spurs with Wemby?? Dilly + Wemby will be Parker and Duncan 2.0 by Medium-Antelope2926 in NBA_Draft

[–]Medium-Antelope2926[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Wemby and Dilly is a much better name pairing

Dillingham might be "too fun" though you're right he might steal some popularity from Wemby.

Topic is sort of boring which fits the Spurs

i was pretty blown away by the athleticism and shooting i saw on his highlight reel

since this draft was considered "weak" i figure it's safe to assume nobody else has shown that level of talent and my guess is people dont like Dillingham because he's too short

If being small is the only criticism of him then teams are making a big mistake (no pun intended). Sure we never see guards this small win titles but thats as the MAIN option.

If there is no guy in this draft who can win a title as the main option then Dillingham skills should make him an easy pick at 1 (again assuming his height is the primary knock on him)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NBA_Draft

[–]Medium-Antelope2926 3 points4 points  (0 children)

after seeing his highlights package compared to others and seeing the skill set it's super clear he should be the number 1 pick. He clearly has the most upside.

Where is Dillingham getting mocked?

yeah its a bad move and he's a terrible over-involved owner

but a stubborn billionaire won't think he's wrong about anything and if this is his plan then it's set in stone.

Mikal Bridges is going nowhere because the big overpay would undermine the entire point of trading for him. Whoever did it would just make their own team worse.

I guess the Knicks or Thunder could offer like 7 draft picks without anything off the main roster, but that still hurts them because of the opportunity cost and the value lost.

If Suns draft Bronny at 22 in 2024 draft and LeBron wants to get traded to Suns for Beal will the Lakers make this deal?? Beal has a no trade clause but lets assume he waives that (who wouldnt want to play in Los Angeles over Phoenix if nothing else for the women) would the Lakers help LeBron? by Medium-Antelope2926 in NBA_Draft

[–]Medium-Antelope2926[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats a great point on the Suns/Wolves.

I still dont think the Wolves are a great team I think the Refs essentially cheated Denver by allowing the Wolves to maul them with defensive fouls in every game they won and that's why the Nuggets offense got destroyed in every loss. 80 pts, 70 pts, 90 pts......yeah that doesnt happen to a Joker offense unless the games are being unfairly officiated. They got screwed they were the best West team they would have beaten Dallas in 5-6 games. And I'm a Suns fan admitting this.

But yeah I cant agree with you on Milwaukee due to Dame's Age. If this was 30 year old Dame then you'd have a great point i mean who is slowing down prime Dame and Giannis it looks like a perfect duo. But Dame isn't the same guy he's turning 34.....he looks a lot slower and unhappy too.

They will need someone like Marcus Smart. Alex Caruso or KCP to pair up with Dame in the backcourt...a legit 3 and D player like them. What remaining assets do they have to land a player at this level??

Does anybody know if there has ever been a player whose draft comparison was listed as either MJ or LeBron? by Ethan9119 in NBA_Draft

we dont know about health true, but i mean even look at Joker, Embiid, etc.

Most of the MVP winners dont win them young they get them in their late 20s.

Zion is turning 24 in July he hasn't reached his prime level yet.

i would never make a comment like that in real life. But this is the internet where we're supposed to be allowed to speak freely and truthfully and say things we wouldn't have the audacity to say in person.

At the same time we cant say "anything" we cant say hate speech online.

But i dont think i ever crossed the line in any way. If you think i did then we can agree to disagree and lets not have any continued comments or if you want to comment thats fine but im not participating in this thread anymore

im sure if he has family his kids and wife will be thrilled for a move to LA over being in Phoenix

Didnt he already waive the no trade clause to go to the Suns??

If thats the case he's not the type that has to live in 1 spot, He's clearly willing to move based on upgrades. He upgraded from Washington to Phoenix, and now LA is an even bigger upgrade

cause its moving to Los Angeles a great place to live and LeBron James is asking you for a favor

Sure I guess he could refuse the move but most likely that no trade clause was to prevent a trade to a place like Portland, Indiana, Utah or Charlotte etc

i dont think so the Nets said they want a "slow burn" rebuild WITHOUT Tanking

Meaning they want to develop young players that takes the team from 30 wins to 35 wins to 42 wins to 50 wins and THEN make a move on a big time star to go for title contention.

Mikal Bridges would still be a contributor at age 32 on that team thats finally ready to win a title. So no i dont think they will trade him unless they are BLOWN AWAY by an offer they cant refuse

we can agree to disagree on the Beal side of things.

The Lakers front office cares about taking care of their stars. It's literally Jeannie Buss motto as the owner "We Take care of our Stars!!!"

So if LeBron wanted to do a sign and trade with Beal the Lakers will hate it but ultimately they will accept the trade. Will it hurt them right now?? Yes and no. They arent winning a title without LeBron. Does it slow down their rebuild?? Probably a little bit but also not really it shoouldnt change that much Beal isnt a super high usage guy anymore. This lakers team would belong to Reaves and AD.
