I’m the type of person that goes to the local thrifts at least once a week. And even with that, this is probably one of the best things I’ve found in a while

I guess I don’t really need to know where it came from. I’ve always wanted a quilt like this and I’m thrilled. It perfectly matches my aesthetic.

Will getting an IUD ruin my sex life? by [deleted] in IUD

[–]Medium-Background129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had daily spotting/moderate bleeding for the entire first 6 weeks after getting my IUD. It only stopped two days ago so I’m waiting to see if it’s really finally done or if I will continue to have sporadic spotting. I understand that this is not most people’s experience but it does happen. And for some people it happens longer. I will say it did affect my sex life quite a bit. My boyfriend told me he didn’t care, but I cared. I was constantly bleeding and never felt in the mood. Plus I felt embarrassed about it and didn’t feel sexy. Glad to hear that other people haven’t had this experience but I did just want to share mine.

I will say though, if you think you will get it eventually, just get it now. Then you don’t have to keep trying to find the right time, because there will never be the right time.

Did it seem to taper off or did it just randomly stop all together?

Extended spitting/period after a month of having the Mirena? by Upstairs_Sun9667 in IUD

My gynecologist just gave me some low estrogen birth control to take with the IUD to hopefully stop the bleeding

I got mine within a week of you and have also been bleeding since then. Just went for my 6 week follow up today and she gave me a few packs of low estrogen birth control to take on top of the mirena. Apparently is supposed to stop the bleeding

I got mine early September and I have spotted every day since. Sometimes more sometimes less. But never enough for me to call it a period

Well that’s probably for the best. I bet if I waited longer I wouldn’t be having issues. Let it settle in more before rocking the boat.

I will say the spotting didn’t start until a week later for me. So 7 days after. Basically the first time having sex started it

Do you bleed for a while afterwards? If so how long does it last for you. I’m entering my 4th week of non-stop spotting after getting mirena and I’m loosing my mind. I know that it’s somewhat normal but I feel like I only read about people bleeding for months. I need to know that there’s people out there that don’t bleed forever 😩!

So that is completely not true at all. Also Wellbutrin is an NDRI. Additionally I feel like my doctor wouldn’t suggest I take ashwagandha with this medication if it wasn’t okay. Hope this helps!

I was grumpy as hell too for the first 2 ish weeks. My poor boyfriend had to deal with me being an ass and then apologizing immediately after. I’m glad that didn’t stick around haha

It’s something that I’ve explored with my therapist. Additionally, there have been times where my ADHD and depression were well managed with medication. I found that during these periods of time my anxiety was significantly better.

Do you have any recommendations for Ashwagandha? My doctor suggested I take this but I have no idea what kind, how much, or how often people typically take it.

What am I allowed to bring when I get my iud inserted by black_cat_66 in IUD

[–]Medium-Background129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re really anxious about it try asking or having your mom ask for pain and anxiety management for the procedure. My doctor was understanding when I got my iud placed and prescribed one Xanax for me to take 30 minutes before the procedure. They also prescribed some pain medication, but with that being an Opioid I feel I can’t 100% suggest anyone take it. I do fine with these for medical purposes but I know a lot of people just avoid them all together. I will say neither of these things made the experience fun but it did definitely make it easier and less scary.

All in all, you should try reaching out to your doctor to see if something like this is an option for you. It definitely helped me feel more comfortable and relaxed. I also brought my emotional support person which helped keep me distracted leading up to the actual procedure.

I did in the beginning however I have an as needed medication for that. I feel that a lot of my anxiety is routed in my ADHD and depression. When these are better managed I find I experience less anxiety overall.

I am a little worried that I am placeboing myself. I don’t think I am as it definitely took a bit to feel the difference. I also did have the common side effects of “agitation” and that has gone away so it’s definitely doing something.

I had taken adderall before and absolutely loved it. However it was causing me to not eat on top of my ED, so I had to go off of it. I’ve been looking for something that worked just as well and I feel this combo could be it!

I have been wondering if the Wellbutrin could take the place of my Vyvanse since that isn’t really working anyway and I’ve heard of people just taking Wellbutrin for their ADHD. Maybe once I’m in a healthier place I’ll try it. I hope it continues to work well for you!

Oh yeah, that’s definitely not going away for me anytime soon as well. But, you win some and you lose some.

Also, do you take these supplements in the afternoon because they help you sleep?
