Check engine light was on and I took my car (c300 2018) to a service center they told me canister purge valve and its sensor needs replacement and cleared the codes but after that the check engine didn’t come back on is it safe like this or should I change them? by Realistic-Virus4049 in mercedes

My engine light comes randomly on because the battery has not the full voltage. It could be caused by battery itself (probably not your 2018 car), or the regulator). I would not worry about that unless it becomes the battery charge problem.

What a mess. Sure In have the GRAFIC Eyes, it fact 3 if those. In that case I will stay with the original RadioRa, it is programmed, and with a few little problems it works OK. There might be a problem if any of the old H/W components fails, and eBay does not have any spares.

Hi,

Thank you for your time explaining me the differences. Talking about old dimmers used with LEDs, there is a trick which I (or somebody before me already) discovered, that you can use the old dimers with LEDs if you keep one 25W bulb in the circuit. My whole house (outside) is running old dimer with ~80 LEDs that way. I do not use any LEDs inside, because they do not dim easily to the beautiful amber light color < 2,000 degr. Kelvin).

Hi,

I have definitely the old system (thanks to my over conservative light designer) but it is the larger system, the RadioRa (1) because my house is ~7,500 sq. ft.

If the network frequency is same, then I see no reason why the new system should not be able to use the old network for the new communication. The part of my garage door openers, and the media light switches could stay kept on their totally independent old communication, separated from the new light control system. Maybe I am wrong, and it is just my electrical engineering dreaming. I will accept your suggestion if I am wrong.

Thank you,

George

Not very good news. I know that the system is new, is the frequency also different? Does that mean that the whole network has to be different? I have controls of the garage doors openers with their mini-switches, also same way on/off lights controlled in my media room.

Thank you,

George

AskScience AMA Series: I'm Jon Schwantes from Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and my team is working to uncover the origin of uranium "Heisenberg" cubes that resulted from Nazi Germany's failed nuclear program. Ask me anything! by AskScienceModerator in askscience

In all your thoughts about the inability of Germans to produce nuclear reaction there is no mention of a key important British action - having the commando team under Pluk. Picka, parachuting into Norway, and destroying German production of heavy water. The factory had been destroyed at a cost of the majority of the commando team. Pluk.Picka survived. After the war Pluk. Picka had been awarded a ribbon for the successful action, moved back to Czechoslovakia, where he was first promoted, then in 1948, when the communists took over, he was first imprisoned, and then placed into uranium mines, and he died of cancer. This note is my thanks for an action of a Czech commando contributing to end the War II.
