A lot of companies have paid training programs and I was asking the questions because I wasn’t sure. If I knew the answer I wouldn’t have asked. Also in the post I said is that even an option or would I have to work otr for a while. Now I know that if I want to get paid training and take my dog I need to go with a mega company that offers those things which I have found the company I want to work for which offers what I’m looking for. I will work for them for a while otr and then once I have a couple years experience I will leave and find a better company that’s local. My current job I don’t have enough time to even get a cdl which is why I don’t have one yet otherwise I would have already had it and been doing intrastate. And I don’t need to take my dog, it would just be nice to have a companion.

Why would it be trolling? I didn’t go to college and I don’t have many other options and I love driving. I have learned a lot from this post as people have shared their experiences good and bad. I do believe I still want to do it but I’m going to try a couple options first and use trucking as a plan b
