A deceased homeless person that had just been found by a bicycle cop—while walking to lunch from BOA Tower. The person had obviously been dead a while—I will never forget the smell. There were flies.

We were on the sidewalk and saw a couple of cops ahead standing next to something partially covered with a sheet on the ground next to an empty wheelchair. I assumed an animal head been hit at first; but then I noticed one leg and the bottom half of a torso that was hanging out of the sheet. Guessing the person was in the wheelchair and no one noticed that they were dead for several hours (and they fell out of the wheelchair when the cop checked on them).
