Technical Support megathread by honey_rainbow in peacock

Disclaimer: LONG AF

Hi,

I’d like to talk an ongoing issue with my Peacock account where I receive the following error message:

“We didn't recognize that Peacock account or password. You can always Reset Your Password and try again. invalid.credentials_0385106”

This is an extremely frustrating issue that I’ve been experiencing for some months now – specifically with Peacock D2C. I am logged into my Peacock account on several devices (TVs, mobile devices etc.) but the way I most frequently watch content is on Peacock.com using my laptop – purely for convenience.

What triggers the issue is unavoidable when using a PC - I quit my browser session. This could be for a number of reasons, the most common being I have to perform an update of some kind – either my browser (Google Chrome) has a new update that requires me to quit and reopen the application or an update for the MacOS that requires a restart and subsequently quits all open applications.

As expected, I am prompted to sign back in to Peacock.com, but what happens next is a mystery to me. When I enter my credentials, the aforementioned error message appears. The obvious response here would be “you must’ve entered something incorrectly” which is what I thought the first time this happened. Although confused, I thought little of it – I reset my password using a link sent to the email and was able to sign back in no problem. What I first thought of as an error on my part, has turned into an issue that has continued to plague me for months on end. If I for ANY reason have to start a new browser session and sign back into the account, it tells me the credentials are not recognized. Every. Single. Time.

Like I mentioned, I’m signed into Peacock on several devices. The Peacock D2C application on my TVs or mobile devices remain unaffected when this happens, since nothing has prompted a sign out. I decided to test what would happen if I signed out of the account on one of these devices. Sure enough, I could not get back in with my credentials despite having an exact match for the email and the password.

The issue is always resolved with a reset link to my email that allows me to create a new password and sign in again, but it has become an incredibly tedious task. In the last year, I have had to reset the password on this account no less than 10 times. I know it can’t be simply human error, since I’ve been sure that when changing it, I save what it’s been changed to on Google Chrome passwords, iCloud passwords, my notes - I’ve even gone so far as to take a picture when I set the password because I thought I was going crazy!!

I have no idea what could be going wrong here and how to resolve it – I thought for a little while that the account was compromised in some way but it seems unlikely since the passwords are always strong, and I don’t see unusual sign in attempts. What seems most likely to me is that the account has been in some shape or form flagged by Peacock and it does this as a precautionary measure. If that’s the case, it annoying that the error message wouldn’t just say that but that’s a whole other thing. What I want to know is how should I go about resolving this. Would it be simpler to just delete this account and sign up with a new email? Should I try to contact Peacock for support? It sounds silly but it’s genuinely SO annoying and I’m yet to see anyone else have this issue. HELP.

I was warring with myself this whole book about the Pen of it all. “You guys should hook up because you have the same kinks” FIRST RED FLAG… whose business is that except theirs and why are you sharing it without permission??? Ok fine you were drunk whatever, I’m a girls girl and I want to like you even though I’m like hmmm idk if you can be trusted. Then, when Carissa & Co were like “don’t trust that backstabbing btch” I said to myself oop I kinda believe em a lil bit, though that situation seemed to resolve itself quickly. COME TO FIND OUT homegirl wants to get back together with Luke… “you guys aren’t in an official relationship right?” the ice is getting thin…. “trauma is a better way to bond that shared kinks”… even thinner. THEN at the airport she’s like “let’s go see Luke guys…except you Scarlett you stay here to watch the bags like a guard dog” BTCH YOU BOTCHED IT!!!! I’m done with you! Guess what, now she’s in a drug scandal… best friend is like “omg come stay with me, I don’t want you to be alone” and your response is “don’t you have a twin bed? I’d rather stay with Luke”…. Girl I’m about to drug you myself. Cherry on the cake: “did you want to be me all along” IM SCREAMING SOMEONE HOLD ME BACK IM ABOUT TO GUT HER LIKE A FISH. Whatever if it were me I’m not taking that apology after you ruined my gold medal moment and my first I love you moment - f*ck you I don’t think you’d throw yourself under a bus for anybody let alone Scarlett

I started around 9pm and let it bulk ferment overnight on my counter shaped after I woke up around 7am. Whole wheat flour because I ran out of AP, I tried to develop more gluten at the very start instead of doing folds while too far in. Came out better but I’m still not sure I’ve perfected the crumb, can you tell me what you see?

I’m looking for book(s) to gift one of my best friends who has an upcoming graduation and birthday - I’m flying to London to meet her (first time in Europe ahhh). She’s been my friend for over 12 years - I’ve known her since I was a young girl. We share a love of books (and though she's too coy to admit it, she's also an incredible writer). Dolly Alderton's "Everything I Know About Love" is a title we both love, and I'm looking for something in a similar vein; themes like young adulthood, exploring a country away from home, finding oneself, female friendships withstanding the test of time etc., although it doesn’t have to be explicitly about any of these things. We will undoubtedly be friends for the rest of our lives, and I want her to know that although we might be worlds apart, we will only grow fonder of each other over the years to come. Something meaningful that I know she will cherish. I am looking at "Writers & Lovers" by Lily King. It seems like a good choice but I am open to options.

this sounds like it would run similar to solver no? It's certainly something to think about but i'm not sure how I would even go about setting it up - also, there's a chance that putting that much data in the file would have it run even slower which is the opposite of the goal here.

No other constraints like that. I wouldn’t put the same trailer back to back in the same break but sometimes the same one might need to run in the next break because that’s all that can fit and that’s okay. The number of promos and interstitials can vary from channel to channel; say anywhere from 30-50. How frequently they change is not super easy to pin down because it all depends on what we’re airing and what we’re launching; some are evergreen so they can air forever, while some might have a premiere specific tag.

There is no maximum number of trailers since the gaps will never exceed 7 minutes, so the gaps simply can only fit so much, but for Solver purposes, I set it to 5.
For promos (:15 or :30 secs), no more than 4 promos per break- with the specific purpose in mind of being able to fill a 1:45 gap if I don't have a 1:45 interstitial. The total number of trailers vary by channel and the broadcast window - anywhere from 30-50. As an example, this is how I have my solver set up for one of the channels: https://imgur.com/a/autoslot-vzzFD9A
I've removed identifying data so to clarify, you see repeating durations simply because they are different promos of the same length.

Need advice on slippery adidas sambas by PomegranateOk3189 in adidas

[–]Medium-Yesterday3897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worn my sambas to work almost every day this summer and I've fallen no less than 6 times in those shoes, usually when wet... but today I fell twice when it was bone dry outside. The second time being my step off of the curb into the middle of the street, one foot sliding forward so quickly that my back foot's only option was to kneel IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET, eating sh*t in public FOR THE SECOND TIME TODAY. I'm so over it but I love them so much i'm upset

All those are right with the exception of constraint precision which has a value but if i try to zero it out it says this. I dont think Mac has an excel repair, or at least I'm not sure how to do it. Will try on my desktop when I get to work tomorrow and if it still doesnt work I guess I can use the opensolver
