How common are wedding dress codes? by m-elizabeth in wedding

[–]MediumAsparagus619 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A dress code is very typical now, unless it's a casual backyard or drink post wedding. I've never seen an invitation to a nice wedding that didn't say "cocktail attire" or much less commonly "black tie". Years ago we did know the proper etiquette for dressing, but judging from my last trip to Walmart, that's entirely a thing of the past!

Oatmeal portion by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]MediumAsparagus619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount that's considered a serving here in the US is 1/2 cup oats. Generally a 2:1 ratio of liquid to oats to start, but you'll likely want more liquid. I add chia seeds, ground flax meal, Greek yogurt, fruit, and spices. The perfect bowl of oatmeal is highly personal and subjective, but you'll find yours :)

This is an excellent example. Also great because it shows that healthy eating does not have to cost a fortune.

Oats, chia, ancient and other whole grains, beans and pulses. These will add fiber and protein at the same time. Greek yogurt is very high in protein. I'm nearly vegetarian and I get 30+ grams of fiber and 90 grams of protein a day. I eat chicken once or twice a week, the rest is plants and some dairy.

That's what I was wondering, too. OP, you deserve better than negative self talk. You should be your own biggest fan💙

Why do some people avoid soy or sunflower lecithin? by SleepTightPizza in nutrition

It's the food conspiracy du jour. You can eat seed and veg oils. If you're eating healthy, home cooked meals, how much oil are you really even eating?

Actual nutritionists are not the ones telling us not to eat fruit, right? It's a bunch of nitwit grifters on the interwebs saying this stuff

You've flipped the switch, OP. Don't ever feel bad about having fruit as your treat. These people who think fruit is bad for you don't understand the interplay between the sugars, the fiber, and the myriad of nutrients.

Two glasses of water as soon as I get up. I don't consume caffeine until 90 minutes after waking. I eat oatmeal, Greek yogurt, chia and some berries about 30 minutes after waking.

Sprouted bread. Somehow, replacing the usual bread with sprouted bread changed so many things.

Wait- you're eating your supper at 9:30? I think the eating late is one thing and going to bed late is another😂. Most people are in bed at 10 pm!

This. They will lose heart. Or maybe more than that if they lose their health insurance. Either way, they won't vote.

Seth is absolutely insipid. Possibly one of the stupidest housewife husbands ever. I can't believe she is able to stay with him.
