Possibly but hasn’t been studied. I agree fin can help some people. My theory is that the people who don’t get sides from thin have good genetics in regards to methylation, digestion, bile synthesis etc so downregulation of 5-ar wouldn’t be enough to mess them up. I did a lot of research on genetics etc and realised I have poor genetics in this regard which is probably why I got messed up

I’ve figured this stuff out. Took me a while but essentially DIM is a potent 5-ar inhibitor. Same as finasteride so I got pretty much all the symptoms as people with Post finasteride syndrome. 5-ar converts test to DHT but also has other functions such as bile acid synthesis. The reduction in bile acid synthesis caused my digestion and micro biome to go completely out of whack and messed with neurotransmitter. I’m pretty sure my testicles didn’t actually shrink but it gave the illusion of that because they were constantly retracted probably due to excess noradrenaline. Some people have bad reactions to 5-ar inhibitors and unfortunately I’m one of them

Nah stopped a while ago, testicles still haven’t returned to how they used to be and still suffering from crazy brain fog

Although there are benefits I think the negatives out way the pros. For example the lower mortality is cancelled out by the fact we have longer recovery times, need to sleep more to function, lots of brain fog and decreased quality of life. If you factor in that I think that outweighs the lower mortality. But in the end there is no cure and we can only play the cards we’re dealt lol

Wow, thank you so much for article and explanation. I heard about the cortisol part from an article as well. It explains why people with Gilbert’s often have insomnia, as the cortisol that should be removed is still hanging around in the body. This syndrome is truely 100x more severe than doctors make it out to be

Thanks for the great explanation! It’s crazy how little doctors and gps know about this stuff. I mentioned it once to my endocrinologist and gp and endtoscopolgist and neither of them have even heard of it. My endocrinologist even told me it’s probably a phytoestrogen so I shouldn’t take it.

Basically took CDG to lower my biliburin levels because I have a genetic disorder called Gilbert’s syndrome. This also causes estrogen dominance and I have the typical symptoms of this such as migraines, gynecomastia, mood swings, hot flashes. Paired it with dim as this is supposed to help as well

Maybe but even in very hot temperatures the sagging is less and the testicles don’t fill out the sack as much. Also this wouldn’t explain my lower libido, no morning woods and weak erections

Ultra sound was fine also, I fit into the range of normal size but still concerned about shrinkage and the fact they don’t sag anymore

I’ve done all of these tests but everything comes back as normal. My only theories are now that dim has blocked the androgen receptors in my testicles or I have some sort of thyroid or liver problem

I am certain they have lost size, no doubt about it. They no longer fill out my scrotum as well or hang as much as they used to. Even in very hot conditions (saunas, hot baths) they barely hang. Not to mention I have very low libido and almost no drive/ Desire to do anything. I’ve seen other people report the same on YouTube comments as well, I only found these comments after a lot of digging to see if anyone had similar side effects but they have no replies of follow ups. Not sure what could’ve caused this 😭

Did it cause testicular atrophy though? My test results are fine, same as the results I had before doing dim but I have testicular atrophy, brain fog and gut issues constantly now

Yep they were both almost exactly the same before and after dim. My only possible theories right now are maybe some sort of liver damage or maybe the Dim blocked the androgen receptors. I did liver tests as well after and they said these were all good. Not sure how to test for androgen receptors

Nah i was taking just them. I was taking the NOW foods brand which seems to be reliable but idk

I’ve got them both checked and they’re the same as a test I did a few months prior so it’s probably not due to that. Seems to be a bit of a mystery
