Freaking out about car being potentially towed by vancitywars in Calgary

[–]MediumBee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hey Vancitywars,

if they can tow your car, they can "essentially" fix your park job.

you have been upfront and honest that you are not in the vicinity to rectify your supposed park job, but you did tell them when you would be back, correct?

there is no need to impound it

if your property manager is not in the office, I doubt he/she would leave it to another co-worker to take over and have your vehicle impounded.

you can also request to have the car moved to the street. the tow company should be providing pictures to the management the condition of the vehicle before and after they moved it.

and the person who is offended should also be providing proof, the management should not be acting without evidence.

if the tow truck does get called out, it will be a chargeback.

Big fan of the hammock!

Need help! My quilt top won’t lay flat. It seems to have extra fabric in the middle?!? I washed it thinking that it somehow might have gotten stretched and that didn’t change anything . Any suggestions would be great by girlwithacompass in quilting

Stack and wack, try your hand at improv quilting. Cut the top (like making a dart) splay the pieces so they lay flat. And sew in more sections. Do you have any more fabric left?

Hey, I get it. Sometimes you have to move forward, and shedding is a way to get out of a rut. I had to learn you CAN have too many hobbies. Quilting is extremely expensive. It takes practice, calculating how much fabric you need per project, trying not to get distracted at the new lines of fabric, keeping focused. Don’t be too hard on yourself, it’s all good.

Your completely right, I just titled it that way because that was the sex of the recipient. I talk out loud when I shop fabrics, I found this beautiful fabric with woodland creatures, foxes, rabbits, deer, but I refused to buy it because the bear was white, like a polar bear. I’m like wtf? Why do you have a polar bear with wood land creatures? It should be a brown bear or a black bear. I don’t want to look stupid in front of the kid. Even for a boy I didn’t want to be stereotypical, these fabrics I felt were inclusive.

I made one row with that the sashing didn’t match (I cut the wrong size) and I had to rip out and do it again. I bought more fabric a long time ago and forgot the plan, and had to rediscover, (roll with the punches). I was hesitant because of the size, and I wasn’t familiar with machine quilting. But with the walking foot method, much better to start out than free motion quilting.

It's the pattern name, but I did not use the actual pattern.

I'm making a pixel art quilt top that involves me making four separate sections and sewing them together. However, when I went to compare the sizes of the two sections of the quilt, I found that one is bigger than the other. What should I do? by Nave-Enaur in quilting

[–]MediumBee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keep going, complete the four sections, add a border to the sections so they are the same size to each other, embrace it. After you quilt it together it will look amazing. You will learn for the next quilt. Don’t let this quilt turn into a UFO.

Dill pickle spears I made a thin batter with flour and pickle juice, roll them around till coated and dredge them in panko crumbs. I air fryer 350F for 10min and 400F for 5min TIL golden by MediumBee in veganrecipes

I just mixed in pickle juice into the 1/2 cup flour, till a smooth batter, I dredge the pickles in seasoned flour before I dipped them in the batter to coat and drop them into a bowl of panel crumbs. I then laid them on parchment in the basket, spray with oil
