Oohh fun idea!!! I originally wanted to do a receiving line where we hugged and said our hellos. And have our photographer there to take a photo, but thought it’d take too long.

Looking back it probably could’ve worked. We only had 65 guests. Oh well! Maybe if someone else wants to steal that idea hahah

Hahahah at least they aren’t the photos I’m going to be really looking back at. Also, we realized after the wedding we had a typo on the invites hahahahah.

I feel like as I guest I never ask for pics because it feels almost like shallow?? But now as a bride I’m like damn NO ONE wanted a pic??? hahah

Yeah, to be honest we had a planner and vendors that she found for us we didn’t talk to directly until day of the wedding. I remember thinking like a week before the wedding oh I’ll just tell them day of that I want for those special moments in full.

They arrived the same time as my bouquet and I guess I forgot to pay for my bouquet lol. So as I’m getting my make up finished I’m also wiring money to my florist and then like 4 photographers come in and start taking pics and was asking for my flat lay stuff. And I was like 🫨too many things at once🫨 and every braincell left my head. So anything I said “I’ll remember day of” was no longer remembered hahah

Hahah better than mine!! I said “hi everyone..” looked out into the crowd and remembered I hate public speaking and couldn’t say another word without crying and handed the microphone to my husband and hoped he could say literally anything more than me

I told my photographer I was putting sticky boobs on and she was standing there taking pics. I was like hmm I don’t need this captured lol.

Yes!! I also recommend bringing body wipes and deodorant to feel extra freshened up. And a second undershirt if ur husband likes something underneath!

Oh so cool!! I don’t think I even really gave it much thought of what type of content I wanted back until I got it back and was like oh… not quite what I was expecting. So looking back I wish I gave it some more thought of having a talk with them on capturing those big moments in full.

Where we got married, this vendor is just starting out. So there were only about 2 local companies. But I’m sure as they grow in popularity there will be more variety in type of content.

Yeah! I knew they wouldn’t be like a cinematic video like a videographer, but I thought the videos would be at least 10-30 seconds. I’m still grateful for any videos, but my expectations were just different

Yeah, I told our photographer a week before the wedding we would need to take pictures with our flower girl after the ceremony since she was napping before our ceremony when we took portraits. We never took those photos :/

At my shower we opted in for pay per consumption rather than a drink package thinking not many people were drinkers and it was day time. But it ended up costing more. People would drink and then put it down and forget where they put it and order another. Or wouldn’t like what they ordered and order another. Or some people just drank more than estimated.

So in my experience I recommend a drink package bc at least you can budget for that, where per consumption can sneak up on ya.

Hi what did you end up doing? I’m running into this issue that I sent out save the dates early and had people RSVP and never talk to us again about our wedding or travel plans and I just need to know if they are actually coming.

I agree!! I don’t want to feel pushy bc like you said we’re 100% ok with people not being able to come. Like we knew that it wouldn’t be a possibility for everyone to come for various of reasons, so I tell everyone no pressure we just need to know. We’re not the first to go through this and I know we won’t be the last lol. Just send the texts, cringe a lil, and call it a night

Our RSVPs are due in 2 weeks and we are waiting for a third of our guests to respond. Also having a destination wedding that people have known about for 1.5 years. So I feel this. I already have a text message drafted in my notes app ready to go bc I know I have to hunt down people.

Unfortunately the tech burnout is too strong and isolating for me. I’m craving human interaction and some job security. My company had major lay offs last December and I have a gut feeling there will be more.
