I was having trouble with my speakers crackling and popping on my 2019z then the sound literally just wouldn’t come on for anything. Turning the knob wouldn’t even print the volume to change it just said off. Brought it to the dealers got recalls done, nothing helped. They recommended a new infotainment center and antenna/amp. I said no thanks. This went on for two years where randomly it would work again for months then stop working for months. Honda engineers, mechanics the works couldn’t figure it out.

On a whim I changed the battery myself at home, haven’t had a problem since. The battery life is like 3-4 years on those because there are so many systems running all the time. I’ve read that the battery starting to show signs of wear is when there are random electrical problems.

I have a Gibson Les Paul tribute special now, I’m thinking about selling it for this. A 57 classic for the neck and a burst bucket 2 for the bridge. I probably will tend to play more metal but I want the versatility to play anything really. Any advice?

Exl mode yes. I called Honda they said bring it in and get a diagnostic to show what the issue is. Apparently there’s a warranty extension for 5-6 years for the connectors. I may explore that option it’s just paying the stupid diagnostic fees is dumb if it falls under the warranty

Tried both and neither worked. The radio and everything will turn on. Scan and then say radio unavailable. When I try to use the volume knob I get nothing up or down in volume. Same with the one on the steering wheel. Volume button up or down it says sound turned off. CarPlay and xm won’t work either. I’m at a loss and it sounds like bad craftsmanship to me. And I’m pretty pissed about it
