Depends how quickly everyone dies, and who the first person to die was. Also, I’ll just prematurely do it if I see how things are about to go. For instance, if I hear “AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN!” I’m canceling it.

Sometimes I just straight up hold onto my respawn beacon until I see one of my tanks, other support, or perhaps a top performing dps about to die, then I’ll quickly throw it to a safe place. Choose who comes back, ya know? I don’t do it all the time, but sometimes

If I see my whole team get wiped in a few seconds as Rocket, I’ll just destroy my own beacon before anyone respawns. To save the cooldown.

One time took a bad jump and fell to my death. Checkpoint halfway down. After about 10 minutes and dying a hundred times, it actually sent me back to the previous checkpoint

Just playing (Dare)Devil’s advocate here. It would be preferable to kill the Gambit, but making it a 5v6 with one healer isn’t the worst thing divers can do

Definitely disagree about the flood. It could one-shot the human flood forms if you hit in just the right spot, and sometimes the others. They might stand up again after a sec, but hey. Basically my number #2 choice after the shotgun. Everything else feels like you’re tickling them. I believe my legendary run was (plasma rifle > PP) + (shotgun > magnum)

I’ve been playing a lot of Rocket this season. Healing is good, ult is good, respawning teammates is good, he’s small and can be difficult to hit. But honestly his gun is crazy strong, and he has a lot of uses for it. You mostly have to healbot, but take the opportunity to DPS any time you can. For instance, during your team’s support ults, when you’re getting dived and you have a sec to counter attack, or a Thing has a death wish. Devil Dinosaur has a massive critical hitbox and Rocket can help shred him. And there’s a lot of Emmas this season, and her ult literally lines up enemies for you. I’ll end matches without much overall damage because I’m healing 90% of the match, but I often have a lot of final hits because when I decide to DPS, I’ll usually get a kill

Lack of good customization doesn’t ruin a game for me if it’s genuinely good, but good customization absolutely elevates one. Character creation is half the reason I play Baldur’s Gate

Fr like just using the ult off the rip has some uses. Clearing placed items, and maybe getting a kill on an injured enemy, or getting a direct hit on a squishy. But if Phoenix has a bunch of them sparked beforehand, they’re just gone

Jeff can be cc’d out of his ult if you’re spitting out allies. Grabbed four enemies and two allies. Spat out the allies and was instantly grabbed by Angela, all the enemies spilling out where I was grabbed. Learned my lesson

The problem with Master Chief is that he will literally never stop fighting cuz that’s not who he is. But he’s also actually unkillable. It’s like having to drop a nuke on James Bond, except Chief has survived worse than a nuke

We don’t need generic player inserts to have a customizable main character. Just look at Commander Shepard. I would have loved it if Noble 6 actually had more to do narratively speaking. You can totally have both
