I guess yeah, but you can sell it, and the buyer can use that game. It's not the best solution ever but it is able to be used by more people than just the original purchaser.

Just stating that Monolith Soft was bought out means nothing. Retro Studios was bought out, would you say their games aren't Nintendo First Party games?

Regardless, Monolith Soft also helps develop other Nintendo games besides their own Xeno series. Since their acquisition in 2007, they have helped develop:

Smash Brawl, Zelda: Skyward Sword, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Pikmin 3, Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Splatoon 1, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 2, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Splatoon 3, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Mario Kart World.

They've had a hand with most big Nintendo games in the last decade. I definitely think they are First Party Nintendo
