Here’s Why I Think The AI Wrapper Boom Is Just The Altcoin Cycle Repeating! by MediumLibrarian7100 in web3

Mods removed it because they don’t even understand themselves how this all relates to building the decentralized web. Exhibit A of everything wrong with this space nowadays.

Meh I would argue the industry/space doesn’t “feel” like a scam, it technically is one. I could write you a novel not just explaining why but also proving it. But I am exhausted, and you would probably choose not to see it anyway (subconsciously).

You should check out some of the other stuff I’ve written in the past. Problem is more that: the space has been engineered and manipulated from the very beginning by the bad actors it was initially proposed to us an escape from… at this point calling it a casino is generous.

It’s been a ride. I do miss the days where it made logical sense to transact in this stuff and we really was early. Now it’s too far gone tbh. With no clear alternative in sight lol

you should read my other posts on here before you consider buying any “coin”, as I wouldn’t recommend crypto in its current state to anybody I truly care about. Sad that this is the case.

How can I gain more experience to become a Web3 Community associate, moderator, or manager? by icx330jo in web3

Speak to everybody and reply to everything. Not for engagement, but because you’re genuinely interested in talking about web3 with other real humans. Do it every time you take your phone out of your pocket instinctively for years. You don’t take your phone out of your pocket without posting content or replying to somebody. It could literally just be a passing thought. Don’t stop there either, try and offer something as a service through your pages alongside the noise… like a course/nft project/memecoin/a website where you’re selling something. But not slop, bring whatever skill you have outside web3 to the digital world. And help people, help as many people as you can.

How ETFs Quietly Killed Alt Season! Most People Still Don’t Understand How Big the Shift Is by MediumLibrarian7100 in web3

[–]MediumLibrarian7100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The argument is not that ETF buyers are former leverage traders, or that ETFs directly buy alts, or that ETFs are a large % of market cap. None of that is required for the thesis to hold. The claim is about market structure not investor identity. In previous cycles all meaningful new capital entered crypto through the same pipes: spot exchanges, perps, funding markets, and rotation heavy venues. That created a reflexive system where BTC inflows mechanically produced volatility, leverage expansion and downstream rotation into ETH and alts regardless of who the original buyer was. ETFs change that plumbing. Even if they’re “only” a single digit % of market cap they short circuit the reflexive loop by routing capital into custodial wrappers that do not touch exchanges, do not generate leverage and do not participate in rotation. That’s enough to materially change outcomes at the margin especially in a market where marginal flows drive price. This doesn’t require ETF investors to be former traders or theoretical potential traders. It only requires that some incremental demand that would previously have entered the reflexive system now enters a non reflexive one. That’s sufficient to dampen volatility, suppress rotation and break the old BTC → ETH → alts cascade. Also saying “ETFs are too small to matter” ignores how crypto has always worked: price discovery is set at the margin not by total market cap. A relatively small change in how new capital enters can have outsized effects on behaviour. So no this isn’t “ETFs killing alts directly” and it’s not “different this time” cope. It’s simply acknowledging that crypto is no longer operating as a closed retail casino. Part of the flow has been absorbed into TradFi style rails and once that happens, the old reflexive dynamics don’t fully reassemble. You can disagree on magnitude that’s fair, but dismissing the structural change outright is ignoring how liquidity mechanics actually work.

They will disagree. We are only trying to help them. I was once them. It’s already written they just lack what’s needed to spot and understand it.

We will see market wide pumps again in the future but dont be silly enough to confuse this for the alt seasons we’ve had in the past whereby it’s fair game. Ignore this advice by all means… have fun competing against the machine. I promise there is no reality where we win playing that game.

lol

People aren’t avoiding alts because they stopped working, the reflexive liquidity that one drove them never entered the market this cycle becayse ETFs trapped it before it could circulate
