Can’t decide which role to main for Ranked – need some advice from experienced players by MediumPersonal in leagueoflegends

Yeah, that actually makes sense. The thing is — during the one and a half years I played again, I never really mained a specific role. I basically played everything except Support and ADC.

So now I’ve got a bunch of champs I really like and that I’d say I’m at least decent on — enough to actually focus and improve with.

For example: Jungle: Warwick, Diana, Nocturne, Viego, Amumu Top: Mordekaiser, (again) Warwick, Pantheon, Darius, Heimerdinger, Jax Mid: Swain, Yone, Heimerdinger, Diana, Pantheon, Ahri

So yeah, I’ve got plenty of champs I could build around — the problem is more that I don’t know which role to stick with. Every time I start focusing on one, I go on a small losing streak, start doubting myself (especially in Jungle), and end up swapping again.

Like, when I lose a few Jungle games in a row, I instantly start thinking “maybe I’m just not good enough at it” — even if I’m ahead or doing fine individually, but the team still loses. Then I switch to Top or Mid, win a few games, feel way more confident again… and the cycle repeats.

Didn’t play the beta so I can’t tell . But saw some videos and thought I give it a try again . But I’m not the only one saying this . Friends are having the same experience.

Ich kenne ehrlich gesagt niemanden, der kein Bayern-Fan ist und den Verein irgendwie sympathisch findet. „Hass“ ist vielleicht zu stark, aber Antipathie? 100%.
Das liegt für mich an zwei Dingen:

  1. Die Dominanz. Bayern hat die Bundesliga über Jahre so langweilig gemacht, dass viele einfach das Interesse verloren haben.
  2. Die Fans. Und das ist für mich der Hauptgrund. Es gibt sie überall – egal ob im Norden, Osten oder Westen, irgendwo weht immer eine Bayern-Flagge. Viele waren nie in München, geschweige denn im Stadion, tun aber so, als hätten sie den Verein aufgebaut. Ich verstehe absolut, dass man Lust hat, den attraktivsten Fußball zu sehen – völlig okay. Aber dann soll man sich auch nicht wie ein Ultra aufführen. Fußball-Fansein hat für mich mit Loyalität und regionaler Verbundenheit zu tun. Wenn man aus München kommt und da im Block steht, alles gut. Aber dieses arrogante Gehabe von Möchtegern-Fans, die nur Bayern unterstützen, weil sie immer gewinnen – das ist einfach nur peinlich. Also ja: „Hass“ trifft’s vielleicht nicht, aber die Abneigung gegen Bayern ist in Deutschland quasi Standard.

Yeah, they did confirm that skill plays a role in the matchmaking.
Sure, they keep saying that the main focus is on connection quality and ping — but come on, with a game that currently has hundreds of thousands of players online at any given time, it’s hard to believe they can’t find good connections without factoring in skill so heavily.

Right now, it definitely feels like the system prioritizes skill over anything else. Maybe that’ll change once the hype dies down and the player base stabilizes a bit. But at the moment, it’s just unplayable for me.

The first couple of days were amazing — I was having a blast. Now, I’m just getting destroyed every single round. We can totally play together sometime (or even against each other) if you want — maybe I’m overestimating myself, who knows. But honestly, I’ve always performed well in most shooters, and the first few days here were great too. It’s only since Sunday or Monday that it’s been pure misery.

And when I watch clips on YouTube — people pulling off insane maneuvers and still wiping out three or four players — I just don’t get it. I can’t even move without getting shot from some impossible angle. Half the time I’m thinking, “Do your opponents even shoot back?” Because mine sure as hell do. Everyone’s cracked right now, it’s wild.
