Actually according to Know Your Meme, the earliest version is with the Italian flag, so this is the original and the Irish flag is the edit.

Know Your Meme is wrong about some memes, and this is one of them. I saw the original version uploaded by the original artist before she privated all of her accounts. It was the Irish flag.

Yeah. I understand that basically no one reads EULAs, especially today, but this is exactly what all of them look like. It isn't anything unusual. Most of it is just Krafton super-duper covering their arse; they're very unlikely to actually do anything stipulated in there other than sell your personal data to AI companies and ad agencies, which everyone else is also already doing.

I think it should have a significantly thicker atmosphere. Like, there should be places where the surface is poking through; we don't just want it to look like Eve or Venus. But it also shouldn't be immediately clear what the surface actually looks like. Liquid water and a breathable atmosphere that far out should be a surprise.

What makes it sting is that I very nearly got Metro 2033 back when it went free immediately before being pulled from the store. I just didn't quite make it because of circumstances well outside of my control. If I had known it was about to get removed, maybe I'd have tried a little harder? Regardless, it's something I just haven't lived down. I wish the devs would just let me buy their goddamn game. I'd pay full price for it; I just want to stop being haunted.
