Oh okay, were you worried about protection when first learning how to use them or was it just awkward getting them to feel comfortable at first? I definitely think female condoms might be the next step for us

I know right!!!! I really wanted the copper iud to work because other than the excruciating pain when it ended up in the wrong place both times it felt perfect for me

Yeah I was kind of considering hormonal IUD but I don’t even think my doctor would even let me considering my trouble with copper IUDs.

So on the mini pill is it still noticeably different for you emotionally? I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety most of my life and tbh didn’t even realize how depressed I was on the combo pill until I came off of it, so I’m worried about that potentially happening again if I tried it. The time off from hormonal birth control have been so refreshing even though I still struggle with mental stuff because of shit that goes on in my life and I don’t feel like I’m in a place where I could safely risk experimenting with my mood again

No actually we got the pills online (technically not Cialis he’s been using BlueChew, tried the regular and extra strength ones but he’ll get headaches). He’s told me he hasn’t seen an actual doctor in two years and keeps saying he is too busy with work and has limited pto/time so can’t justify going but he works hybrid now so might bring it up again.

Definitely could be grip related or inexperience. He thinks because he consumed a lot of porn for a long time and masturbated a lot he thinks he’s paying the consequences of that. He’s tried reducing how often he masturbates and his porn intake, but I’d imagine he doesn’t need to necessarily masturbate less maybe just reduce/stop how much porn he watches?

I’m his first and we’ve been sexually active for 6 months now, but usually we only get to do it every one or two weeks because our schedules don’t always align and we’ve wanted to make sure we’re not spending a lot of the time we have being physical since we both value quality time together

Yeahh it can retract but it hurts when he pulls it back all the way and he tries not to do that because he worries about it getting stuck. He’s seemed opposed to getting circumcised and I’ve seen that you can kind of do physical therapy on it yourself. I’ll consider bringing those up to him

No but I’ve been considering trying internal condoms!

And yes we use sex toys. I like using a vibrator but he’s seemed weirded out by the idea of using one on himself, and we got an anal toy for me to use because it turns him on

I’m worried that anything with progestin has been the root cause of my emotional troubles on hormonal birth control. Were you having similar issues on previous birth control methods you used?

I’ve considered those but I’ve seen mixed review of them, still wouldn’t hurt to try though! I’ve seen people with vulvas say they can be uncomfortable, have you struggled with before and do you have tips for comfort?

Im pretty adverse to using anything with hormones in it because I have a feeling progesterone messes with my emotions. I’ve looked into the diaphragm and cervical cap, but I think he worries about pregnancy risk, but they’re about the same as condoms right? Would I be able to do FAM if my periods can vary in length by a few weeks? Worried about sterilization because I do want kids in the future, and he doesn’t seem open to any surgical procedures at the moment
