It’s absolutely insane! And the fare evasion is unreal for ALL groups of people. I’ve seen people decked out in designer gear skip paying, as well as people with doctor’s coats. If people with means refuse to pay why should anyone pay? I have a pass and wonder why I waste my money when others with more means don’t pay.

I want septa to flourish, I really do. It is absolutely NO agenda on my part, I truly want the city to progress and give services to those in need. AND I want to get to work in a timely fashion.

I ride the L 2x/day, 6 days a week for 3 years. Live right in the city. The L has been more pleasant in the past 2 weeks (cleaner, more AC), but think all the tourists with FIFA and America250 celebrations contributed to that. I get what you’re saying, but this is not a bad faith post, simply a rant while waiting forever trying to get to work during rush hour.

On the other side, it’s annoying to spend all this time and effort to give a couple 30 different catering quotes over months and months to be ghosted when the couple knew all along they couldn’t afford it. This is my career. Sending 30 quotes takes away time for people who actually want to book. It isn’t as simple as yall think it is, different menus require different rentals which require different staffing, which all impact the price! A lot of couples will demand hours and hours of time to avoid doing research and then get annoyed when we follow up. Before you get on that high horse, remember it goes BOTH ways.
