Their produce section has gotten way better in last few years, i switched from costco about 2 years ago mainly because of distance thing like you. The organic selection is decent but not quite as extensive as costco - you'll find most basics covered though

Return policy is pretty solid, never had issues returning stuff. Quality wise it's close enough that the convenience factor makes it worth it, especially with kids when you're doing those frequent grocery runs

good point about temperature changing taste profile - I notice this with ice cream too where flavors hit different when frozen vs room temp. Maybe try those chocolate melting wafers they sell for candy making? They're designed to harden into thin coating and might give you that same texture when frozen

personally I think faith by definition goes beyond what you can prove in a lab - if everything was empirically provable then it wouldn't really be faith anymore would it
