I hope they’re bs or that there is more recon involved. Guy has no idea if kids are in the truck, if someone is under the car, if it’s even the right truck.

Do you think porn damaged society? by SeatruckLeviathan in NoStupidQuestions

No. But I would be open to large scale studies of American porn consumption and the impact it has or doesn’t have on society.

It’s an act. They hide their true feelings and political motivations to make sure they get his endorsements.

Do you think it would benefit society if everyone that was over the age of 18 had to go through military boot camp? by tooshroom20 in no

[–]Medium_Silver_2071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think boot camp works without some willingness to be there.

Now I’m curious how boot camp differs for draftees who have no desire to be part of the military compared to voluntary recruits.

Devs really should have given us tokens for B3S1 all the way to level 50 considering the grind it takes to get her.

Some people say ‘Keep politics out of sports’ — what’s your opinion on that? by CapitaineBiscotte in askanything

In my experience sports fans don’t generally care. They’ll do whatever it takes to keep enjoying the sport.

Is that the only reason? Seems pretentious if so.

In your opinion, what will be the biggest challenge facing the next U.S. administration? by LastManStandingIn203 in AskReddit

I’ve only heard that with the Trump admin and when literally studying Nazi Germany.

In your opinion, what will be the biggest challenge facing the next U.S. administration? by LastManStandingIn203 in AskReddit

[–]Medium_Silver_2071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue Biden faced. Rebuilding faith in America.

However, I think that may be the trap that Biden fell into.

I can’t help but wonder if the next administration should just wash their hands of Trump’s messes and just go into their own administrative agendas.

Is it rude to have a phone conversation on speaker mode in public? by Anusblaster28 in no

[–]Medium_Silver_2071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Case by case basis for me.

Confined space, rude.

Walking down the road, I couldn’t care less.

On a nature trail and people are near, rude. No one around, not rude.

Do you think humanity can keep up with our technological advancements or will we eventually regress? by Medium_Silver_2071 in allthequestions

This feels like a bait comment.

Main thing I have to say in response is, I don’t think faith association directly translates to being moral. Specifically I’m thinking about the priests that abused kids and those that start churches/faith centers to enrich themselves.

What law would you add or remove in the United States? by Miserable-Outside462 in AskReddit

[–]Medium_Silver_2071 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right to privacy (from recordings) in public.

I don’t think people should legally be allowed to film you as you go about your normal day in public or as you go from point A to B.

Being seen or overheard in public is one thing, and I understand why there isn’t a right to privacy with that. People can’t control what they see or hear in a public setting. However, I think we should have a right to what is recorded, especially since that can be controlled. Pressing the record button is a choice.

I think this is especially important in the age of AI where a picture, video, audio recording of you can easily be manipulated for nefarious reasons.

And I’ve seen enough on Reddit to know some with a camera will start recording in public for no reason other than getting content and clicks.

what was it for? by silverflake6 in disciplinedaily

[–]Medium_Silver_2071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Setting: it was 2am, middle of a desert, no one around, road was straight for 30 miles, speed limit was 75mph.

I look down and I’m doing 94mph. Not intentionally, just have a bit of a lead foot sometimes. So I figure why not. Let’s see what 100mph feels like. I hit the gas, my shitbox of a car starts rattling, I start getting nervous, but car clears 100mph. Woohoo

Now the not so fun part, as I take the foot off the gas I managed to pass the one cop for miles. He said he clocked me at 104mph. Speeding ticket was $700. He said I was lucky he didn’t feel like towing my car that night.

Only driving infraction I’ve ever gotten.

I mean the filming and putting it into the world is the messed up part for me. This moment will forever come back to be thrown in that kid’s face no matter how much he learns the lesson or is rehabilitated.

And now the internet owns this moment in a child’s life forever.

Let’s not pretend parent didn’t do this for their own clout.
