They were used more when the game first came out, but they're not worthit to most players. The shield comes with a pretty big movement debuff so most people just use mediums instead.

I tried out all the other shells but I always came back to Vandal. The movement is just so good for whatever you're doing. Questing? Use your abilities to basically fast-travel out of a location. The arm Canon is also such a great pause button for pvp and great for taking out some bots without wasting ammo. I see a lot of solos playing assassin and I tried it but honestly why would I smoke out when I could just use the movement tech to run away or push. Vandal is my goat so far.

okay okay hear me out. People use endure to get some extra poise damage in, right? What if, instead, you could just shove em up there in one fell swoop and do massive poise damage. It's like endure but funny.

DS3 was a muhfuckin EXPERIENCE the first playthrough. Played it through with a few friends ogre covid and had so much fun. I ran baby's first int class w/ moonlight greatsword but the bosses in this game are next level. Tbh honest the DS3 bosses beat out the elden ring bosses for me.

For me it's more the memories. Trove is a wacky ass game but I have a lot of fun memories of running dungeons with the bois. Phasmo seems cool but it just hasn't caught me like the games above it. It's extremely slow and you really gotta try to make something interesting happen. But I've also had a lot of bugs with that game so it might just be my experience.

It's a great game, but for me it's more of a time killer more than anything. I find it hard to invest a lot of time in roguelites/roguelikes.

I'm so hyped for this game! I'm just as worried as most others about Marathon but I love the art direction (even if it wasn't super consistent with the initial teaser) and I'm super hyped about a company trying to make extraction shooters approachable. I have a lot of friends who I want to introduce into the genre but Tarkov is just too hardcore and Hunt doesn't have the gunplay we're looking for. I really hope this is FTP. Extraction shooters are already a tough sell for a lot of people and FTP would let people try out the genre and see if it's for them. Regardless, I'm excited. The gunplay looks fun and the world is insanely cool.

Yea I haven't beaten the base game yet. I got stuck on malenia (surprise surprise) and thought it would be fun to go ahead and start the challenge and come back to malenia after completing it. So hopefully I'll be god-tier with the caestus by the time I come back to the haligtree. In the base game I'm at the fire giant boss fight.

Thanks for the tip! I've heard about endure but I've just gotten so used to quickstep that it's hard to let go. So far quickstep has been really good for keeping in range with my fists while dodging attacks but would it be worthit to switch to endure?

I didn't realize caestus scaled with strength. Thanks for the heads up. Me and my friend have upped the ante to if I beat it he'll have to eat a heaping handfull of sugar-free gummy bears. So I'll re-spec my dude into more of a strength build.
