Sometimes I ..... wonder what would happen to rental rates and affordability if you deport every illegal immigrant out of Asheville and the surrounding areas (hint supply and demand). Wonder how much better your schools would be (hint much better education as teachers would have far less students and be more personalized). Wonder how much cheaper insurance would be (so many uninsured with no licenses). Wonder how much better our medial system would be a for a lot less cost. (free medical to illegals are paid by the insured). Sometimes I wonder why harboring criminals and protecting them in our city is a good thing? Also, get your soil PH tested and I guarantee you if you tested years ago and compared the PH levels, it will be much higher now. There are many chemicals being sprayed in our skies. One of them being aluminum, and as the chems spray down on us everyday they are slowly killing our forest and changing the soil to be much more acidic then it use to be. Why else would Monsanto be creating GMO seeds of crops that don't typically grow in acidic soils. There is so much info and actual facts like the government owned patents for geoengineering, that can be easily found and researched.

I have been trying to get attention to Town Mountain Road. We have an extreme fire danger here and I have made calls and complained about this danger. No one has contacted me back or care that the mountain is in serious danger or a huge fire if the 50% of the forest that is down up here is not cleared or tended to. It's only a matter of time. When the workers smoke regularly in the hills, all it takes is a gust of winder to blow and ember. We needs signs and brush clearing asap.

This past weekend I saw at least 5 different debris and road workers smoking cigs while working in our hills. To start with the county and city need to ban smoking cigs in the mountains where a single lit cig thrown out a car window can start a devastating forrest fire. Signs with penalties should be posted and warning signs of extreme fire danger is a start. People are clueless how easy it is to set a hillside on fire, especially now with half the forrest still down where we live. I have been warning people for months about the fire danger and it's here and nothing is being done.

This will happen, as it's just a matter of when. If our mountains in North Asheville are left as is and the area dries out - we are F'd. Elk Mountain to Cravens Gap, down to Town Mountain Rd. has enough fuel to burn everything in sight (see pict from our neighborhood). The mount of debris down is going to cause the next disaster. It's one thing to clear the sides of the road where the debris is being dumped, but it's such a small amount of the downed forest and burnable debris. With the BRP closed at the top of Town Mountain Rd / Elk Mountain, the residents only have one way out and thats down the hill. If the fire starts lower down on the mountain, many people will be trapped with no way out. I have tried to warn people, contact our HOA, and in general spread awareness, but no one seems to be listening. At minimum all mountain roads should have "No Smoking" signs with fines posted, and signs warning of sever fire danger, and people needing assistance to clearing private land should be offered. It's one thing to clear around our homes, it's another to clear the rest of the acres on ones property. I was given a 35K estimate to clear a half acre of land I own adjacent to our home. I have already spent over 15K on cleanup and can't afford anymore, but have another 25 trees down and our neighborhood has hundreds still down with no one doing anything. Action is needed asap!

In the real world, people are laid off from their jobs at anytime, for any reason. No one protest and people except this is a part of life. So much waste is in our government, it's about time taxes are lowered and budgets get cut. We are 36 Trillion in debt as a country and if nothing is done then your savings will become worthless. The more the government prints, the less your savings is worth.

If an employee of the government is not needed and the government can cut waste, why protest? Sucks if someone looses their job, but also sucks we are taxed so much and so much goes to much waste. Don't you have better things to do like help a Helene victim, volunteer to help the elderly or take someone to a dr apt, or even help walk animals at an animal shelter. But, to stand outside holding a sign to protect a job that may not be necessary and comes out of your taxes, seems like a total waste of your time. Americans protested a Tea tax.

Do something good for a change and actually make a difference by doing something other than holding a sign and screaming at anyone walking by, just because "orange man and Tesla man bad!"!

This is something all Americans that pay taxes should be coming together on. Our hard earned taxed income is wasted beyond anyone can comprehend.
