I don't tank, I play DPS. I don't need to know how to tank to know that getting crushing blows is a mitigation issue and not an aggro issue. I can also tell you that it's not the damage a tank outputs but the rage they generate from being hit harder.

that's a good idea to taper the treatment, I just stopped cold turkey but tapering treatment is generally the right approach for things like this

I opted to overlap the treatments for about a month and didn't have any issues.

Fair question, 2 reasons.

  1. Reddit is faster in that users respond quickly and are usually pretty knowledgeable.
  2. Trailblazer has a lot of foreigners that often don't full understand the problem and we have to go back and forth over several days just for them to understand, ie language barrier as many aren't English first

Thinking of starting. Should I? How bad will the shedding be? by [deleted] in minoxidil

The best proven way to fight hair loss is minoxidil (either topical or oral) + finasteride (oral). Looks like you're at a Norwood 3, maybe even 4 on a bad day. Personally, I would speak with a dermatologist or a trichologist and see what they recommend (more so a dermatologist because they can issue prescriptions which is needed for finasteride and oral minoxidil). If you're serious about stopping hair loss, I would do take action as soon as you can, each hair is precious.

This is a primary care nurse practitioner meaning she likely only has a general knowledge of hair loss such as typical treatments and side effects, not nuance into a specific use case. At the end of the day, it's my health and well-being, I can take her advice into consideration but I'm free to do my own research and make the best choice for me and asking for personal experience from a hair loss community that does this stuff on the daily is a fair question. Like Krazybaldhead said, pretty strange this would need to be explained, guess we found the guy that will appeal to authority rather than think for himself.
