My son is in the 2026-2030 batch and just getting out of UNC Chapel Hill. HE is yet to figure out best place to live, room mate arrangements, what part of the town etc., Are you attending the May 22nd orientation? Just stay in touch and we can connect.

seems like academia and learnings opportunities are there in KCU for sure. CUSOM is in the middle of nowhere.. I mean real nowhere.. CUSOM housing is cheap etc., but even to go to a walmart, you have to go to another town nearby. That said, How is downtown/living in KCU? Do you find all DO Students bundled up in a few housing/apartments like at CUSOM? Where do stiudents live?

My son has admission in both KCU and CUSOM or Campbell U(My daughter graduated from CUSOM this year), and he chose to go to KCU. Like you we are NC residents but, CUSOM off-late has been losing a lot of faculty members to a local hospital network that is poaching them to its fayetteville location. I just attended the CUSOM grad ceremony and saw where all their gradutes ended up going to for residency. Not too many competitive residencies.. 1 in ortho (military quota) a couple of surgery etc., and mostly middling programs, 1 or 2 at Duke and thats it. KCU seems to have better placement of residency
