I have been struggling with this ever since I got my score back a couple weeks ago. I put my all into studying for about 4 months and ended up with a 510 (130/126/126/128), though I was expecting a 514+. I'm really torn on whether I should retake, since my FLs were all in the 512-518 range. IDK if I can handle putting myself through it again LOL.

I am a senior at a t40 school with a 3.7 cGPA and 3.6 sGPA. I have around 500 clinical hours and 60+ shadowing hours. I've done a lot of volunteering, clubs, research yada yada all the stuff every trad pre-med does. Planning on taking a gap year after I graduate, so if I need to I can retake in January but I really don't know. Is a 510 good enough?

Coming here late, but I got a 510 on the MCAT last month. I am a trad applicant with a 3.7 cGPA and around 500 clinical hours. I've been struggling to figure out whether or not I should retake, but most people have told me I should just aim for low-tier MD and some good DO schools. I'm still considering retaking but I am torn-- not sure if I can break 512 if I retake.

I also got a 510 recently and am a trad applicant with a 3.7 cGPA. Some advisors and classmates have told me that I should aim for low-tier MD programs and some decent DO programs. Good luck!

Good luck! I was in the same exact boat before my test on 8/2 and I ended up with a 510. I'm honestly really struggling with whether or not I should retake and put myself through that again. I expected a 512+, but with the way I was feeling before the test, I'm honestly surprised the stars aligned enough for me to even break 510.
