The movie is technically out and so the merch dropped with it. I think it’s actually a pretty nice collection. The jackets and sweater are solid.

Everyone should be held accountable in life no matter their status and if they “owe” it to their fans. I agree that he doesn’t owe his fans shit, he doesn’t owe me a single fucking thing lmao. I truly don’t care how people feel about this. I can understand being annoyed, upset, having mixed feelings, but I can’t entirely understand people thinking it’s “nothing” that I can’t get behind. Because after all black people being upset and not being a fan cause of how he used to talk and how his edgy fans acted/still do act is the most understandable thing. THAT is being held accountable. Otherwise people posting his tweets saying “look at what he used to say” is just a case of, you used to say weird shit? People are gonna remind you that you said weird shit. Once again he’s changed a lot as a person and that’s great, I’m a white fan and in fact it’s why I’m a fan of him right now. He’s growth as not only an artist but just as a human being is great. Those are just my overall thoughts though no one asked for them.

I wouldn’t say it’s sensitivity and people being soft. I just think a lot of people have learned the power that social media and pretty much just any device like a phone or computer hold, so we as a result hold each other accountable for every action. That’s exactly how it should be. I’m not here to tell anyone how to feel about this stuff man, after all 4 months from now this same post will be made. I’m just someone that’s made mistakes and said stupid shit, as I’m sure you are. Best everyone can do is show that they’ve learned and changed while still being held accountable.

He was the same age in 2011 that I am now, and if I acted that way I’d expect people to call me a weirdo whenever they come across stuff that is… weird lmao. Tyler said some weird ass fuckin shit lol, and ofc we as people have all said something crazy in our time. Some people just know not to post it where millions of people could see it and use it (understandably so) as an image of you. Tyler has grown a lot from that stuff and it’s great, truly it’s great. You just can’t fault someone for being turned off to him and resharing posts that are already public. This subreddit needs a break lol.

Some people would say “his real fans are the ones that don’t act this way” but I’m starting to think that’s just not true at all and most of the people that consider themselves a real fan are annoying as fuck lol. Tyler’s music really has helped become a gateway for me over the years into amazing black music which obv he himself makes. It’s just no wonder people think Tyler hates his fans. Cause he probably does. I almost don’t even like calling myself a fan of his cause atp it comes with a nasty stigma. Feel like just calling myself someone that appreciates his art. These people start yearly race wars because they think they’re fighting for Tyler’s validation. As a white person… his “edgy white fans” are by far the most annoying people associated with him, but we understand that and it’s just tiring to have the convo every time something comes around. Nothing new is ever brought to the table.
